Umm Carousel pings are unfair

Listen here, being able to ping in carousel needs to be taken away. You should not be able to gang up on the person on top that is unfair. Take away pings all together, leave emotes but take away pings.

There is literally no reason to have pings what so ever.

Why leave pings in at all? They serve no useful function in this game mode.

At least with pings, you know what they are doing. What if he came in with a party, and he's directing his shill in voice chat?

They probably meant that the only possible use for pings in TFT is flaming/harassing people.

Huh? How are pings unfair?

He/she/it is worried about people pinging eachother to take the things the people currently winning want.

So if they guy in first is trying to build Glacial and the carasol has Anivia, Ashe, and Sejuani people would ping them to get the people losing to take them so the guy in first cant.

people winning often have the economy to roll for what they are missing nobles also don't tend to be in first place

This is so evil (and smart) I hadn't even thought of it. I'm lucky though, the only pings I've seen in my games, for now, are question marks.

No they meant something like if the top guy is going nobles but is missing a Kayle and there's a Kayle on the carousel he doesn't think people should be able to ping it to alert everyone else that this guy needs that shit.

I really could care less, you run the risk of not getting what you want from carousel anyway when ur in the lead.

But pinging give an unfair advantage. If everyone is not paying attention yall should not be able to gang up on one person. This isn't a team game.

Ever played Smash and there was one guy with all 3 stocks while everyone else was on their last one?

Yeah, that's what a free for all is.

How does one "gang up" on one person in a completely RNG-based game?

The champs are random. The carousel first pick and sequence is random, the items are random. The player match ups are random. The item spawn from beast minions are random.

No one is beholden to you. If they want the item and/or champ from carousel, they will do so. Body blocking doesn't really work if the enemy teams think you are going for the obvious, especially when the items are random.

If you don't like the pings then /mute all.

The fact that they allow communication during such a selection takes away the whole point of the game. Allowing people to communicate aggressively what they should pick based on who is on to is unfair based on the meta they are trying to establish

thats not even the worst thing people can do. people can actually bodyblock in carousel, if they wanted to they could bodyblock the last guy from getting what he wanted if everyone formed a line

Seems to me like this is a legitimate strategy. Heck, if you're first place you could ping things you don't want to throw people off.
