Little legends issue

I bought a little legend egg when tft came out and I got the demacian silverwing, and after the patch you are able to get 1 free little legend, I looked at L U N C H B O Y s post and read if you get a duplicate it will star up or upgrade ur little legend, so I picked the demacian silverwing egg and nothing happened..
