Stuck "in Game"

I disconnected from a game and when the game attempted to reconnect it failed to connect to server. Not an internet problem. Now the game has me in an "in Game" status. I have reinstalled and now TFT's home screen is completely blacked out with only "journey", Overview" and "patch notes at the top. the only thing i can select is my icon and border selection next to my name. any ideas?
