A more comprehensive cheat sheet.

I see a lot of "cheat sheets" floating around online, but they either are not updated with--or completely ignore--patch and meta information, or they are incomplete, or they do not fit on one page. I wrote a program in excel/vba that copies, pastes, reformats, and in some cases analyzes and reorders the patch and meta compliant information on https://tft.mobalytics.gg/ so that it is, at least to me, usable in game. I wouldn't try to print it, since it is formatted as a tabloid for scaling purposes; I just keep it in adobe in fullscreen fit to width mode, then F9 and ALT TAB to check it when I need it.

If you guys like this, then:

  1. Check out their site. They have tons of interactive tools for analyzing stuff on the fly that is obviously better than any static printout; and

  2. Keep the thread alive, because it is automated, I can keep the linked image fresh and up to date with the patch and meta info in a couple of seconds whenever necessary.

Cheers,

AJ

This is pretty cool man. You must be an engineer or analyst to prefer to view information this way. Would it help make your life easier if I gave you access to our DB files ?

In a past life I was a mathematician. Now just a lowly law student; has Excel, will travel.

Absolutely! I don't know any SQL, what format is stuff in? I am new to the game and the forums, if you contact me privately through the client or here or whatever, I'd love to talk more.

Also, a shameless plug: I posted a short essay on the role of the RNG in the game and some potential suggestions that come to light from that prospective. Not many people took an interest in it, but since you guys obviously have a team of analysts working on stuff, maybe it might be more interesting to you.

Unless there is more activity here, this will be my last post on the subject. But here is the first update to the sheet, which now has all item recipes.

This is a great sheet! I presume it is auto generated from a database that is maintained from patch notes? If so, I would just have 2 suggestions:

  1. If you put it in landscape, like most monitors are, instead of portrait, you could get the fonts to be uniform and bigger.

  2. The table in the top right has much less info than the one at left or bottom, but is easiest to read.

  3. Still didn't address the major issue with most graphics of this sort: the lack of tier list info.

What are you talking about the lack of tier list info. What do you think those numbers are for on each champ icon?

The numbers in the bottom chart? Those look like the unit prices. Vayne is a 1 cost unit who happens to be high tier right now, but Mordekaiser is a 1 cost unit who is not, and your chart does not differentiate between them, hence is not as useful as it could be.

As promised, this was just updated to reflect patch changes, as reflected at mobalytics.gg.
