Just got through with a game where I tried something other than putting everything in one corner. I got horribly pooped on. It mighta just been my comp (Shifters, Elementalists, 2 Wild) but, have any of you won with a comp that isnt just shove everything in the corner?

Other than assassins of course.

Some champions prefer a corner. Nidalee, Ahri, probably Ashe...

Really depends on your opponent comp, like what others said. And if it's down to just the 2 of you it becomes a mind game of moving champs around until last second and see who outwitted who.

I once shoved everything in a corner, then at last second I moved a trash to the other far end of the corner and he turned into the scapegoat my opponent's 3star kat jumped on. It was a worthy sacrifice as the rest of my team avoided the spin though. Another instance would be putting your carries in the middle when your opponent has a blitz and putting a trash at corner.

Knights rangers prefer lines. Brawlers cant corner camp due to lack of range. Past that I cant think of a situation where corner isnt good.

Do it on a quite regular base. Swain is my favorite carry and since he like things up close and personal I usually place him either frontline or second row depending on items.

An he isnt the only one. Sure ADC like Champions as well as linear casters prefer the corner and there is no reason to no play them there. But there're tons of other ways to win.

How you position depends on what you're fighting. If there's a lot of AOE, you'll want to spread your units out so they don't all get caught up in one AOE. If you're against assassins, you want to camp the corner and maybe place a tank off to the other side to split the assassins. If your opponents are heavily ranged and using both corners, sometimes it's beneficial to start your units in the center so that the rangers can fire without moving out of position. t's not just stick in a corner.

i ran gunslingers in a line vs a sorc comp, it worked well. Line is good vs aoe, corner is good vs almost everything else.

I almost never put my characters in a corner, and I'm plat.

I usually line them all up along the bottom of the screen. Forces those people that have corner-comps to walk out, which usually means my assassins can get to them.
