Soooo.... why use anything other than Yordles, Glacial or assassins.

Seriously what's the point. I try to avoid using them because it's really no fun just using what's broken. Every game I go, I end up 2nd or 3rd and the last two people are yordles, glacial or assassins.

I feel like I can counter yordles, a strong glacial comp is near unbeatable, and assassins are counterable, but they are so strong they are still ahrd to stop.

Don't sleep on Demon/Shapeshifters, the demon mana burn is really strong right now as are Varus and Aatrox, Elise and Morg make for a hellish midgame too, and with the right items on the right people Shapes are strong af as well.

With the way my shops have been going it's one of the easiest compositions to build an strong at all stages of the game.

If you go deep enough in a game and get to 8-9 champs you can mitigate assassins, even when there are 6. You have to make sure you are putting your least valuable champs on the back line so your carries, for example, dont get blown up. Unlike the yordles and glacials assassins are of course the easiest to get 6, as you can get 6 of the 7 fairly early in game. Now weather they all drop enough to get you at least 2 stars on all is something completely different. Even with the 6 bonus a one star assassin later in the game does negligible damage.

Getting 6 Yordles and building them up, particularly the Gnar or getting a solid glacial comp, Sejuani and Anivia, is no sure thing. Getting late enough into game to get them all to at least 2 star and having the right champs with the right items is the exception rather than the rule.

Im currently making my way up the ladder, Gold 4. I was Iron 2 earlier in the week. Anyway, due to consistency the people, myself included who are placing are getting fairly diverse synergies, 4-5 of them, unless they get really lucky with rolls have only 2 star champs, and are going for 8-9 or more champs, if they get a force of nature.

Sure there are outliers where everything goes your way and you get those champs early enough to build them up. However, if you are using that type of strat every single game you are going to not place much more often than you will place.

My observations only. Take it for what its worth.

Glacial and assassins are easy to build and you have extra options with spatula.

Demons can be good but slightly lesser tier.

Yordles can be a bigger riskier but not too bad, prob a little above demon and below Glacial and Assassin.

Noble can be the best as well but it's the hardest to draw and pull off (surprisingly harder to get Leona than Kayle in my experience.)

The game is kind of balanced off risk/reward and Glacial/Assassins have the least risk to some of the best reward.

yordles are just anti meta atm, they get rekt by lower tier comps like sorc but its much rarer to see sorc those days so their only counter is element tech or rabid fire cannon, the current meta involve assassins and gun slingers which is countered by miss chance.

6 glacials are not good as a comp , they are good as a tech of 2 or 4 in other comps like 4 brawlers [throw Ashe Lissandra Anivia Brand to get a back line for your tanky brawlers and another tanky unit while Volibear item 3094 destroy the enemy team] , or like rangers which is just Ashe with ranger buffs and Sejuani in front line.

assassins are assassins .

Yordles are hard countered by a good carry (Draven) with item 3094

Glacials likewise can be solved with a good ranged carry (Draven) with a solid frontline. Generally needs to be an ADC, mage carries will be a bit slow and you'll get locked down; RFC helps a lot

Assassins are complete bullshit for how easy they are to build - only 6 unit comp that you can build without even needing a 4*, and the damage bonus is so strong it still scales into lategame.
