Item Balance, Matchmaking, Gold Champs

Punisher86··1 votes·1,023 views

I Really would say, great game.. But it is so unbalanced. Last patch they talk something about that the Items have now a Fair Drop Sytem.. Absolutly not, i look specially for the drops the last games.. There is a range from 1 Item drop to 5 in the first 3 rounds... Now It is fair.. Funny Joke. The Rolls, ok there are 50 Champs.. But how can it possible that someone matches Gold Champs in a few rounds.. While i spend 30+ gold and match 1-2 champs after all.. When i got that luck i prefer a real Casino for win money in real .. And then the Matchmaking.. Why i play after loosing a round again the same Player if all othrr players still in the Game???

Game could be really Interesting but to much luck for a win.. Arround 80% Item and Roll Champ luck.. Other 20% is the part you know the best possible teamup..

I think this game is verrrrry luck based as some games 3 stars back to back then some games I cant find a 2 star garen till lvl 7 lol. In a game like this I dont think becoming Faker of TFT is a thing. It would just make sure you are at least top 4 so if you playing ranked your not gonna lose LP.

I think there deff needs balancing but I dont know what would be the sweet medium. If the everyone gets items then some peoples comps turn online too fast where your still stuck. If they try to protect players with less hp that would be unfair to the top players because the bottom 4-8 would loss less hp and have higher pick priority on the carousel. I wish items did not run the game though.

Playing the op comp is the only way to play it atm regardless of champion rng. I would say it is exactly because of champion rng why is everyone playing the same stuff every game. Even if you get those 3 Nidalees in first 3 rounds there is absolutely no guarantee you find enough of them to get her to tier3. And because you cannot reliably get any champion to tier3 and on the same time is is quite easy to get any champion to tier2 (games where you don't get the chosen champ to tier2 almost never happen) it is just better to go for the preffered team of yours or the current op comps.

I know you have heard/read this many times but you really have to play according to what the game gives you. You cant go for a team comp round 1 you start possibly building your comp after first carousel. Honestly most of the OP comps require times which are not even guaranteed. The most op you can go without items is glacial and elementalist.

Wrong. This is way to lose. You don't build wild/shapeshifters because game gives you 3 nidalee and 1 warwick in first 3 rounds. And those who do are not gonna get to top 4 unless they are very lucky.

Well at least in my elo. If you play normals I guess it doesn't matter but that is not the point.

The chance that you won't get the champ you need for the op comp or the comp you enjoy to play is minimal unless we are talking about nobles here as those bonus at 3 is useless and Kayle is hard to find. And guess what, even if you get zero champions of the comp you want to go there is still about the same chance you will actually get that champion to tier3 in the very end. Just played against one such guy who went for current fotm gunslingers with CB and despite he had none of these champs early and others were building it too, when I got to top2 he had lucian at t3, tristana at t3 and graves at t3. I was missing 1 shen and 1 aatrox to get any t3. Not like it mattered, my team got de-starred to zero in seconds anyway lol.

There is simply no guarantee that you get the champ(s) you were given early to t3. And therefore it is better to just go for comp you want to play and which is stronger (at t2 level) than what you have been given.

Game really needs to have some guarantee mechanic to get t3 easier especially on t1 champs or this will not change and everyone will play gunslingers and volibear/glacial or volibear/brawlers. Getting 9 same units is lottery, getting 3 of them is guaranteed. Easy as that.

If the game gives you wild shapeshifters then build wild shapeshifters but you can transition into sorc or dragons you dont need to commit to wild shapeshift the entire game because that is a early comp that falls off.

There is a game called chess rush on mobile not sure if you heard of it or play but there is a "chess piece" that will auto combine 2 1star units to make a 2star and if you get that piece to 2star as well you can combine 2 2star units to make a 3*star. They could possibly do something like that I guess.

You are probably higher TFT ello than I but it sounds like that guy just got crazy lucky. There is not a for sure strat to get 3*star units. You can hyper roll but that kills econ but might work out might not. It sounds like he just out lucked you tbh.

Oh my god. Of course you buy those 3 nidalees and place them on the map. Tier2 > tier1 with comp bonus. Perhaps even place that ww there although the 2wild synergy is shit and thus it is better to put there any other g2+ unit or t2 unit. But that is only temporarily and in a meanwhile you will be collecting champions you need for the chosen comp and transition into it the moment you collect enough tiers2 or items. By the time you fight with raptors you should have chosen comp with all champions at tier2 unless that comp contains gold4+ champions.

So basically everyone plays the same stuff almost every game. And those who doesn't lose.

What comp do you normally run. I have been trying to do a voli blademaster build but cant get the champs/items. I have seen most success with either yordoles, demon brawlers, and elemental brawlers and of course pretty much anything that has ninjas

Blademaster/demons with Varus/Aatrox as main carry and adding Draven.

That being said, I no longer can win a single game now when everyone is running gunslingers with cursed blade (and all my units are level 0 after 5 seconds of the match) and Volibear glacials (where my frontline does 0 damage because permanent stun for entire game without counterplay, not even shen ult helps if he is by some luck able to cast it). These two teams are simply unbeatable by blademasters and everyone is running it now - which further proves my point, everyone plays the same team every game. It is easy enought to get t2.

I tried to do the gunslinger meta but I keep getting my cheeks claped lol. I must not be doing it right.

But Voli glacial is broken I was dicking around not even knowing it was a comp all I knew RFC is broke on voli. Then just built full brawlers and glacial won me the match not much counterplay at all.

Lol. You are even agreeing with me.

Again. There is no guaranteed strategy to get t3 champs. Doesn't matter if you get 3 Nidalees or 3 Shens very early the chance you find 6 more is very low. And because of that, and the fact that to find 3 of the same units is actually easy and basically guaranteed, there is no point playing what game gives you and what might be stronger than other options IF and only IF you would get those champs at t3. But because there is no guarantee that will happen it is much safer and logical to use what the game gave you only to survive early game and between collect champs you need for the comp you want to play.

So everyone who is smart enough is already playing the same shit over and over. 3 more games since I replied to your post, 3x in top 4 (no 1st place though) and promoted to p2.

There are only two possibilities. Either I am right in which case you should do what I say. Or I am wrong and it is all about luck, the chance to win/climb is same for everyone no matter what strategy they choose which essentially mean it doesn't matter what you do - it is out of yur hands from the beginning.

EDIT: and back to the original post. We are already in a meta where everyone plays the same stuff. If that is true, maybe we really need to make some changes to champion rng. I would probably make it so you need 8 units for t3 (4 units -> t2, 2x t2 -> t3) and decrease champion pool by a lot. That might make it more likely to obtain t3 if you get that champ early and nerf the "play the same stuff every game" strategy at the same time which means more unique games.

Norocku231 votes

If you reduce the champ pool then yes that might give one or two people t3 units but then that would be possibly 12' t1 champs already out the pool which could mean some people might be stuck with a t1 champ the entire game.

ShadWooo1 votes

But that is exactly the point. You would actually have to think and you would actually need to build what game gives you if you want to avoid this. So if you see that someone else is building Volibear glacial comp, you need to go for those shapeshifters that game is giving you.

It was even said in the beginning you need to do this. That was before ppls realized that no, you really don't have to, because the chance to get all units to t2 is high but chance to get any unit to t3 is very low and it doesn't matter how many players are building same team.

So what would be wrong with this? You are now basically guaranteed to get any champ except gold5 to t2 sooner or later. Obviously it is better to run a comp where there are multiple units and the bonus is good enough without full set so you can replace champ A with champ B if game is not offering you any A, but even Yordles are pretty easy to get and in their case you can survive with t1 Gnar quite easily.

You know those that don't get items in the first 3 rounds get more items in the krugs and Raptors round right?
