**TFT - Champion Skins??? - Use your already owned skins to deck out your TFT Roster!

Hi Rioters and League community,

Shout out to @Iron Wing for pointing me towards the forums to display my suggestion. I think this idea would be a great addition to the game for summoners and Riot Games alike. Why? Because, we would keep buying RP and they would be providing us with yet another way to flare our awesome skin collections in yet another game mode. I think this would be an amazing way for Riot Games and League of Legends to show love to us summoners who have been around since the start, and have accumulated an impressive roster of skins, while also enticing new summoners to express themselves through customizing their TFT experience.

How would it work?:

I am not a developer, and I can't imagine how much this work this may take. In my non developer brain I believe they already have a system in place that allows champions to have skins, much like an overlay, so that you can choose your look before the game starts. In my opinion the best way of making this work would be to set up what skins you want to see on what TFT champions in the client before a game mode is even selected. (In the collections tab most likely). So you would be able to throw all of your favorite skins on the individual champions, then when you jump into game you can buy champs from the pool, but when they hit your bench, BAM!!! You can instantly flex on your opponent with your beautiful barrage of cosmetic apparel.

Why do I think they should let previously bought skins be used?:

Obviously, I'm being selfish! Let's be real though, I am defending all of us who have spent hard earned money on RP. If I buy a skin for league of legends for my champion, why can't that skin also show up on that same champion in TFT? You can argue, why would Riot Games allow this when they can make money on having us buy skins for TFT separate from League of Legends? They may make more money this way, but thats gambling on new summoners to spend money. To me, it makes more sense to give to your existing customer who has proven time and time again to be willing to spend their cash on the next, newest, best cosmetic items. You reward us with being able to use our skins in TFT, I guarantee we will be scooping up everything that comes out for TFT and League of Legends alike.

How does this benefit everyone?:

With the launch of TFT you have a brand new player base joining our existing community, let us show them just how freaking cool this game is by showing them all of the perks they can receive by using the store for RP, special event passes, and the loot system. New players, veteran players, and league of legends can work together here to make TFT a lasting and very profitable new game for our futures!

Thank you so much for reading, I hope I've sparked some curiosity!

Kind regards,

They have currently set ot so you can't use skins on purpose. It gives them a method to introduce different origins/classes for the same champion.

E.g. Cutpurse TF is currently set as a Pirate/Sorcerer using Pick a Card . If they used Musketeer TF instead, then you probably would get a Noble/Ranger using his E and will be manaless.

Now that I know that they plan to use skins as a way to implement more origins/classes I think I like my idea even more. Why would they start implementing different universe craziness with skins? There's already tons of champions, even if they bring in 2 a month its going to take them what...... 5 years to bring everyone in. Just my opinion, but let me use the skins the way I want to use them, and make them worth what I got them for. Build the game around the amazing champion pool you have already created!

Listen, I played League of Legends for like the first 3 years and have a ton of skins from those days, however I disagree with this idea.

Two reasons:

  1. They've already completely separated rewards for playing TFT from playing LoL. It wouldn't be fair to let people use LoL skins in TFT for new players as they'd not only be at a massive disadvantage reward wise, but also would have no way to even earn them.

  2. Towards the end game there's so many champions on multiple boards to try to look at for positioning and general strategy that having all kinds of skins for those champions would make it extremely confusing and difficult for the small amount of time you have between rounds.
