Please dont remove / change thornmail

First sorry for the bad english and grammar I beg you riot to didnt change the thornmail, i used it since the beginin of set 2 on MOST of my warden champ depending on how's going the game. Not only on braum, i didnt even build thornmail on him despite what the GUY IN CHARGE of this change has say I mostly put it on nasus or other guest and it work as well, saying this item only fit Braum is à clear lack of understanding the game mechanics and it's really funny coming from a "game designer" Without this item warden is only gonna be à filler strat instead of a real strat build around 6 warden. I manage to get into diamond despite all these people playing wood druid with renekton before nerf, even before it when there was plenty of olaf and still tons of it. I was one of the rare player that mainly focus around warden since beginin of set 2 and now you gonna made it totaly useless?

Half of my dps on each game come from thornmail, the next item addem wouldnt even come close to half of this damage.

I beg you riot one last time, please dont remove the small fun factor some people have with these item. I was playing summoner rift for years and after all the change and rework on some of my beloved old champion i couldnt stand it anymore as the removal of other item like atma or force of nature to name just a few of them.

Thornmail and warden was my "love" in this tft, and i really think about stoping it like i stop the summoner rift after all these year. That's only the second set and it already start to upset me really hard, i mean there isnt thing more important to focus on ? What's the point of killing our pleasure?

From what I'm understanding, Thornmail isn't being either removed or "changed." Firstly, renaming it to "Bramble Vest" is purely cosmetic in both name & picture. The reason for that is point 2: they're COMBINING Thornmail with the (super gutted) Phantom Dancer. "Bramble Vest"'s purpose is to both reflect damage & answer their DESIGN FAILURE of allowing Assassins to 1-shot tanks. Point 3: the damage reflection isn't being changed, only the specific way in which it's being reflected is being altered.

If I remember what I read correctly, the new reflection is a flat amount (as opposed to the mitigated amount) which does AoE based on the wearer's level. This is actually an improvement for anybody not named "Braum" when you consider: Desert exists, which shreds 90% armor essentially making the mitigated damage almost zero; Last Whisper will shred 90% armor, essentially making mitigated damage almost zero; and the new reflection is AoE damage.

First you probably didnt play warden as much to say assassin one shot tank, to be clear they litteraly one-2-3 shot themself on any of my warden with a thornmail on it.

The damage reflection is totaly changed it's now only a portion of what it was before and most importantly IT CAN ONLY TICK ONE TIME PER SEC render it totaly useless, even more useless is the way the damage is dealt. In fact the spike that reflect the damage around the user 1 hex meaning any ranger / mage ect wouldn't even get damaged by attacking with basic attack anything with "bramble vest" on

I'm gonna repeat this again but as warden Half of my dps in everygame come for this item, is the bramble vest gonna made à replacement? The answer is no in the curent state of this item

I guess the two downvote are coming from metaslave that probably dont know much about warden or how to build somthing of their own

Unfortunately, Warden isn't a viable class. It's not a team buff like Mystic or Knights and it performs poorly against all the meta classes.

Olaf & Glacial don't care how tanky the enemy is, they have permastunhax. Inferno burns for free damage. Most importantly though, armor is 1,000% worthless against Mages.

Furthermore, you're ignoring the existence of Desert, which is a common pairing with Assassins & several other classes. What Rito stated about Thornmail primarily being useful only on Braum is just objective, statistical truth.

Even an olaf 3 with bf guinsoo / filler item (deathblade, giantslayer) die in everycase possible encountered yet (check history if needed), just stop please it start to be akward. I play ONLY warden, i know what's the weakness of the team and olaf is everything exept an issue for me, as i said before it's litteraly the best match up i can have with the khazix that suiscide himself in one shot against me and when opponent rely massively on one of these 2 carry

The trouble / issue i have and i do not complain about it, is inferno / mage that push me to get the mystic also in set instead of electric or anything other. Even with my mystic i suffer from the inferno shadow comp also hard, but this isnt the subject of the topic at all and i shouldnt even debate with you about it due to your relative ignorance about warden or what is viable or not

Totally agree with Defacyde, I also play 6 warden very often and my main object carry is the thornmail, I tested on the pbe the object replacing it and my carrys are literally destroyed the object is not the same anymore it's far from being only cosmetic.

Thornmail has a real place in the game and even more in a warden compo and should not be deleted, it's a real counter to Olaf (despite the BT and Guinsoo), Khazix and all the champions based on AD.

It's sure that mages can do a little bit of harm but with mystic and a dragon claw it's good enough and I want to say to who doesn't do harm a well made compo mage ?

The deserts don't have enough power if they are not 4, as said above Olaf kill himself despite the stun perma on the thornmail wearer

Yes the thornmail is not adapted to all champions but it's like all objects, but just saying it's only for Braum is quite wrong, just a Skarner ( and he is not warden) with a Warmogg and a Thornmail can be quite tanky (and the comp is quite used) and lot of other champ can use thornmail.

In the first season, thornmail was also used very often on Shyvana, although no rework on the item was done at that time while it was super-powered.

It would be a real shame to destroy the Thornmail, for a new object which will surely be used even less ...

A Silver Olaf with BT + Guinsoo + any other item cannot kill any Silver Warden with Thornmail, Warmogs and Warden 6 (or even 4). Olaf loses every time.

Remove it.

It's so cheese and makes wardens, especially Braum, broken. They need to remove item stacking as well... You either deny the "troll" (the nicest way to put it) who wants to 2 stack his braum with chain vests and all of your units 2 shot themselves is just as dumb as assassins 1/2 shot tanks. You can't even roll oceans/mages to counter it because NEWS FLASH : EVERYONE AUTO ATTACKS. I love seeing my Brand, Syndra, Thresh, and Nautalis die in 2 autos and it's all to 2 thornmail 2/3* braum. There are better ways to make wardens viable. This item is toxic and has literally no counter right now, other than running it yourself or denying items, which in turn screws over your mid/late game.

I'd be OK keeping the item if they at least removed buff stacking of the same item, make them all unique, and MELEE ONLY.
