TFT 3 stars

I know Riot really loves their RNG, but I feel that the game hands out 3 star champs to early. You get games where a person has two 3 star champs by 4-1 and most people do not have half their roster 2 stars yet. The top tier players that make up the little of Riots player base know how to deal with this. Well I tell ya most of the player base struggle with stupid situations like this. This is why most prefer to claim the game is pure luck. The RNG is just simply to much for the majority of players like myself that really enjoy playing the game mode. I do see myself walking away from it sooner than later because of this. A game should be fun, not make a person mad of stupid Riot principles. Guarantee the most used word in the game mode is "WTF" and that should be a red flag.

TBH Riot seems to have made a lot of units at 3 stars worse and certain comps depend on 3 stars

For example, Predators and Druids are straight useless past midgame if you don't 3 star them. They're useful early-midgame at 2 star but they are hyperroll comps. Gunslingers and Rangers both had better transitions in Set 1, units like Tristana, Vayne, and Lucian while you wanted them 3 starred you could get away with 2 stars on them and have them be a useful piece in your comp. Though that also meant their 3 star forms were kinda insane even though they weren't too hard to get.

This is even funnier because Riot said that the larger rooster of champions in TFT 2 will result in 3 star champions being rare. But then I see 3 star champions more tan before.

Something is broken here…

I kinda feel like people overvalue 3 star units, I guess they're strong and all but I've won games both this set and last set where I only had 2 star units and didn't even make an effort to go for 3 stars while multiple other people had 1 or more 3 star units.

They're nice to have, but having them doesn't necessarily mean you'll win except in the case of actual broken units, but then we're talking about stuff like Draven and Yorick while most 3 star units you'll see are 1 or 2 cost units which generally aren't that strong late game.

You guys are all correct, I do think Riot could tone it down a bit tho so we don't have to pray to make a comeback lol. It's really cool how the game will pretty much pick the winner after the first round.

There is enough of a luck issue with the opponent getting more 2 stars than you do sooner. If they have 3 stars and you still have 1 stars then you just lose with nothing you can do. So yes at that point the rng has decided the match without any player input, and you just have to pray it evens out later on or you will keep uncontrollably losing just because they have higher units.

if I had to guess, it has something to do with people quickly burning through the roster with rerolls at low level to get low level 3-star champs.

I faced a guy/girl who had 2 3 stars near the end of 2-*.. I was lucky enough to have 2: 2 stars... Most others weren't building what I was, just rng.. Sucks haha.. I have seen 3 2 stars right after creeps where I haven't been lucky enough to get 1 2 star.. It hurts but that's what you get in this rng heavy mode..
