the RNG of TFT

the RNG of TFT is too much to make the game in anyway fair to the unlucky. First off is the fact that item drop rates are random meaning you could go 3 minion rounds without getting a single item while other have 4 completed items. Second champions are done nicely however are heavy RNG based. one game played the person who ended up winning had 4 Tristana's in their very first shop, and ended up being the first with a tier 3 champion, who was also fully kitted with 3 items. that person ended up destroying everyone at every turn. the game was effectively decided before the first pvp match even began.

another thing is this game is getting ranked soon but there are still so many bugs. many people have experienced their champs afk'ing. i too have experienced this at least once per game. i have experienced 3 other bugs, 2 visual, and a board. the visual bugs managed not to affect the game too much, but were a hindrance. the first which only caused confusion, was when i picked up a champ from the carousel the champ that i dragged around was a different one then i picked up however when i went to my board it was the correct champ. the second was my shop had the images completely mixed up and what i bought was not what i received and ended up buying and selling everything because nothing was what was shown. the third bug was an exploitable, but not too powerful, bug. when i swapped out a champion with a force of nature for someone who didn't i could still swap them and it would cause me to have more champs then i should because the force of nature bonus would be removed.

Some people scream about it being 'all luck' and obviously it isn't, there is some strategy involve in your composition and placement; but, that said, there is a huge element of RNG, the item box update fixed a little bit of it, at least on the side of the items, but the card draw, and AI is still pretty bad.

A lot of people will say 'it's supposed to be random', but what said people don't understand, is that in terms of programming, there isn't such a thing as random, without dropping 5K a piece for physical random event generator cards; the purpose of the psuedo-random number algorithms in games is suppose to be to -simulate- a truly random probability spread, and thus introduce some element on unpredictability and fairness [like the dice in craps, the shoes of cards in poker, or the roulette wheel in... well roulette.] The 'RNG' on 'hand' dealing' is particularly bad, there are long runs of shit hands and good ones, that don't seem to be broken by small bouts of the opposite, sometimes you have obscenely good luck, other times, not so much [and, for the record, I'm not complaining because I lose all the time, I usually finish in the top four unless things go badly with the randomizer... and I've been both helped and hindered by it, the point is I can -tell- when one is going to happen, the trends become very easy to spot, there have been very few games where I've been surprised that I won, or lost, usually, I can tell when the algorithm has taken a 'bad turn' from my perspective, because I can spend several rounds, dumping my excess gold after I get to fifty, on re-rolls, with -nothing- ... the opposite is also true, I know it's going to be a good game, when I consistently have an empty roster, and several second tier champions, while not spending on xp or rerolls, despite saving...] The problem is that it's too consistent, the results should be less consistent between hands within a given game, the 'deals' should be more 'consistently inconsistent' from one 'hand' to the next within a certain game, regardless of rerolls.

The micro AI on the champs themselves also often times does so pretty stupid shit, as well as there being bugs. [I've not had a bugged game in ranked so far, thank god]

The AFKing:

Are you aware of how Disarm works? At first I thought I was having champs stop fighting at random a lot, but then I realized that it's usually Disarm. Watch for the red † next to the champ, it's easy to miss.

Now that I'm watching for that, the bug seems a lot more rare. I do, however, occasionally see a champ, or group of champs, just stop and stand there for no apparent reason...no ice or other spell effect I'm aware of, either.

It may be some other mechanic I don't know about, though.

I would at least change the random enemy thing. its really sad when u take in late game the best guy 2 times in row and lose sudenly from 40 hp even you would beat everone else. just make order in enemies. thats not so hard to do and you have this in underlords tactic chess from valve and it works gr8.
