Suggestions to improving TFT UI/UX
Champion Classes & Types:
So some of the challenging things of the game for new players is the overwhelming amount of information they need to process in a small window of time. i found myself having to repeat over and over while playing with friends what the synergies are and what they do.
Currently on the side of the game window you see a small window with numbers but that does not necessarily tell which of your champions are giving said perks/buffs. It would be nice to add the symbols of class & type for each champion over their heads so you can quickly see which of your champions and which one is offering said buffs. On the left hand side currently, you could have a small icons listing currently enabled buffs so when you hover over the icon it will list the effects and how many you need to reach max. This way its not intrusive and still helpful.
(this could even only be shown from your perspective and not globally to opponents)
As much as words can help, symbols quickly draw associations/patterns in the majority of player heads to help them better adapt to the game.
Sorting:
Another small but helpful feature could be a small auto-sort button which re-arranges your champions banked on the side lines to be grouped together. I've seen people miss noticing they had multiple banked already and skip over finishing a 2-star or 3-star champion. This is something most people wouldn't have an issue with but since each round is on a time-limit the less time you spend doing menial things the more time you have to strategize.
Item Building:
Now i know a lot of people have made cheat sheets for item combinations but stuff like that should really be in the game, especially for people playing on laptops / single-monitors. When you right click an item you've picked up a small menu listing all the potential items that can be made should get listed.
Or something like dropping 2 items into your avatar shows you the combined item and what the item does/can do. That way you can drag it from there into a champion or dis-assemble it without having to risk throwing it on the wrong champion, then selling it to get it back sorta deal.
Note: dis-assembling should only be done in a preview window, once the item is made it should stay that way.
Hope these suggestions makes it into a future update!
