TFT is going to end up being like League - Discussion on the new TFT Patch
Hello fellow gamers! I would like to first say I still love League, I love TFT too, and these two games(I know TFT is technically still League, but I like to count them as separate games) are probably my most played games by far. However, ever since S9 have all these problems on league(ranked system, questionable balancing decision, players not being punished, etc.), it's frustrating at times where you just don't want to play it, simply because it feels like the game is becoming less fun, and the player community is getting worse and worst(Diamond Elo baby, what a wide variety of gamers). However, when Riot have made TFT, the mode felt like it's a chill zone, where you can forget about that previous game teammate that told you to do a lot of things to yourself that's not appropriate to post here.
But to the main point of the topic. I was playing a scrim yesterday for a team in a online league, when one of my Challenger TFT friend told me how trash the new TFT patch is. I asked him why and he stated that you can get up to like 30 gold in the first three creep round and now you can get units as drop as well. Now, the unit drop, I think it's unique. But 30 GOLD? 30?! Dude, screw items and units, I rather have 30 gold every game. So I played one game of TFT this morning and I didn't get 30 gold. I got 6 gold. In one creep round. Last patch, I believe you can get up to 8 or 9 gold in the first three creep round if you unfortunately get gold every round. I understand the process of Riot's mind. People have been complaining about how someone can get like 6 items in the first three creep rounds while they are stuck with 1 item. Now, I think one the the best part of TFT is the RNG part(am I a weird one?), since I like the challenge when I have to beat people that are more lucky than me. However, instead balancing the items and gold value, everything is reversed now. Nobody would want to get an item anymore because the gold you get is way too high. You can potentially get a +3 interest after the first three creep round, think about that for a second. I know I've only played one game so far, so maybe I'm wrong about how OP the gold drop is, but I think it's logical. If I'm wrong about this, feel free to comment about it, because I think the gold drop is way too OP.
On a more causal note: I haven't gotten a unit drop yet, what tier can they go up to, 5? I got 3 items on krugs round, is the drop rate for that higher or was I just incredibly lucky?

Anyway, my second period is about to start, don't flame me too hard on the comment if I'm wrong about this, but my initial thought is that this patch is going to bring TFT down to S9 League level. Anyway, I wish you guys a good day, and have fun in Summoner Rift or TFT!
