Alright, so LP in TFT rank is janky AF. Here I am in Gold 1 and I recieved 42LP for 2nd Place, 30LP for 1st, and 18LP for 2nd. Wheres the consistency? Whats the deal? Whats the truth?[slayer-jinx-unamused] [zombie-brand-mindblown]

Lp is based on your opponents mmr as well as your own. If your opponents are statistically better than you, you get more Lp.

It made more sense in season 1 when you started at iron and 0 MMR with season 2 you kept your previous MMR and started over at iron so you might face a gold 3 (seems lower than you) who was Diamond 1 last season so his MMR is actually higher than you, unless you were that high last season as well.

All comes down to who you are matched up against. Harder match ups = higher lp for a win less lp lost when you lose. Easier match ups, less lp for a win, more lp lost on a loss.. That's what it seems like at least.. So for you being gold, games you match up against diamonds/plats you will gain more lp for a win.. Get matched w/ iron/bronze/silver you will gain much less lp when you win..

Ztoka, that was certainly true in season 1 but with the rank reset and no mmr reset its entirely possible at gold to play a lobby full of silver with all of them having a higher MMR than you just less games played.
