Lets Talk About the Busted Assassins

Ok, Here it my bitch with assassins.

  1. There are 7 of them
  2. 6 of the 7 are tier 1-3
  3. Only need 6 to get to max stat bonus
  4. You get to level 4 very quickly so you can start seeing 6 of the 7 very early in a match
  5. You can get 3 of them by level 3 and that 150% crit bonus by level 3
  6. Only Gunslinger has max bonus potential this early in a match and the max bonus increase isnt even comparable. For whatever reason Gangplank seems to be a fairly elusive Tier 3 from my experience. Assassins will shred through Gunslingers before their bonus makes a difference.
  7. Only counter I can find is 6 Yordles. If the assassins have more 2/3 stars it doesnt matter. Even with 60% miss if the misses dont happen early and if the assassins are ripping off those 2k+ crits again it doesnt matter. I suppose a player can get lucky with drops and help counter it as well.
  8. To go along with point 7, because of the low tier threshold once you get at least 3 early you can blow all your gold on rerolls and stack a team quickly and early in the match.

IMHO either move one of the assassins to another group and force players to wait out the Tier 4 Akali and move Zed or Pyke to Tier 3 to avoid seeing that 150% bonus so early in a match, gain win streak gold and keep your health bar up to give you more chances for rerolls. You can steal alot of early wins even when the 3 assassins are still 1 star.

I still haven't lost a game where I've gone assassins. Once you reach the 6 unit bonus it almost feels like you can't lose unless the AI completely derps out or your opponent has something amazing. Pyke needs to be moved to 3 cost for sure, he's way too good.

One of them needs to be moved to legendary status and critical damage passives need a reduction. Furthermore, assassins need to jump just before the round starts so players could actually build a defensive frontline.

Glacial can also wreck assassins pretty well, but yes the crit damage is so nuts. Their crit dam at 3 makes them so viable they can easily stack with other comps. I think crit damage needs to be reduced in general in this, but phantom is the onyl counter, and it is petty busted

Assassins are a strong early game class with a decent scaling but I dont really consider them much of an issue. You can outscale on alot of comps and some Champs can go completely wreck them.

(Ever seen a PD,Dragon Swain 1-5 against Assassins and winning without any issues? Or PD,Gunblade Shyvana?)

All you need is some decent positioning to beat most of them.

Last time I went Void Assassins in a premade Lobby were everyone knew what they were doing I had a pretty rough time. (Until I made a Kata and a Akali Sorcerer - they went completely insane! x'D)

I haven't had much problem with assassins, probably because I like to build up Brawler teams. It's very easy to fit 2 brawlers into a team because there are 5 of them, and their high HP from brawler bonus makes those crits not so critical. Just have them guard your ranged and damage champs and assassins won't be much of an issue.

If you run into an all assassin team, grab Blitzcrank. He'll save his grab until one of them appears and really mess their day up. Blitzcrank

I think its just assassins are the easiest comp to make because there are more than the 6 you need, and they are pretty strong. But with the right comps they can be rolled, especially if you can corner well vs them and they cant even get to your ADC. If I go assassin, I usually go with blademaster or void to double up and it is far stronger than just assassins.

I think the real problem is that crits are just too strong in this, hence why an adc with a crit item, or Draven is so broken in this. The real counter is phantom of course, but if you build a real comp, phantom is easily dealt with.
