Hextech Gunblade Aatrox?

I've tried out (first time on accident) putting hextech gunblade (recently buffed to 1/3 over 1/4 healing) on an Aatrox. I was thoroughly impressed. due to having a mere 75 mana, and by taking damage, he gets his ultimate quickly. Once he uses it though, due to his status as a melee, he usually dies after one casting. However, with gunblade, he heals for 33% of the MASSIVE ult damage he deals. 9/10 times, this heals him to full and the enemies that try to deal damage after his heal simply fuel his next casting to once again heal to full. I put shogin's and gunblade on my 2 star aatrox along with a PA and he single handedly won me the game. If you ever happen across an aatrox with the items for a gunblade, give it a try and you will not be dissapointed.

Has anyone else tried this, and if so, what is your experience with it?

I've done this on both a full demons team and a blademaster team. Even just at 2 stars, Aatrox with gunblade is incredibly effective. His ultimate can wipe out multiple units while bringing him to nearly full health. Even in instances of him dying after one ult use, he still sometimes gets my team a win just by clearing out so many units and absorbing so much damage.

I also recently tried him 3 stars on a blademaster team and he was destroying the enemy team singlehandedly.

why not death's dance? more AD, better passive, same healing and aatrox has no AP scaling
