Once you reach platinum or higher in TFT, the gap in how much LP you lose in comparison to how much LP you gain is way too big. I only get 30 to maybe 40 LP if I get first place where as I lose 50-60 LP from anywhere below 6th place. Climbing should be encouraged more or placing below fourth should not be as punishing as it devalues placing in 4th or higher and slow gains in LP throughout multiple games are just crushed by one bad game.
I think the LP system really sucks while climbing up and you start new tier with so low LP that if you are like 5th or worse twice a row your tier drops back. Also it feels like having bad luck with items and champ selection has too hard impact to your progress to climb. Maybe some kind of multiplier should be in use when counting earned/lost LP. Like in TFT match itself you get more gold when you lose or win fights in arow. More impact when you place high or low many times in row. Not like you get 8th place once and you drop -35LP straight away and than you need to place 4-6 times 4th place to climb up those 35LP. It should go like first 8th place you lose -10LP second time in row -25LP 3th -50LP and so on. Also for being 4th many times in row should be rewarded with more LP like 1st +5 2nd time +8LP 3rd time +12LP and so on. Same thing
They should have, let's say If you place 5th you dont lose any lp and the second time in a row you places below 4th let's say 6th now you take like a big hit let's say around 45-50 lp hit and top 4 or better gives 10, 20, 30 and 40 perspectively for the placements 4th, 3th, 2nd and 1st. I would'nt recomend them changing it for low elo maybe first at platinum and higher.
I also agree with the loss being to great for placing 6 or below. I have been bounc ling between Gold ll and lll for weeks now. Dropping to Gold lV with 2 losses below 5th is ridiculous. I am not sure why they chose the system and if gets worse in Platinum and better I am going to be disappointed big time. I hope they see fit to change it so losses are not so damn severe. The fact that there are things beyond your ability to control(available items/champs) this seems unnecessarily harsh.
my friend has won 31 GAMES but still bronze cuz the most he got for 1st place is 27 lp......
