Demon x6 AND blade x6... is it even possible to lose ?

Well apparently it is...

My hypercarry was Varus that had 3 items, blade and 3 Zeke, yes the items in general were not optimal cause I took a strange path to get there, in the end Fiora had no items but still...

Also to note:

  1. I didn't just lose with the first guy who had a super strong team too, I just suffered with the 3rd and the 4th, and won by a small margin.
  2. I never lost my hypercarry, ofc RNG happens but that's not how I lost, everyone else just did much more dmg than me in static condition
  3. I had more men, so basically halfway through the fight I lose 6 guys while killing 3 or something like that on average

I guess gunslinger AOE is just that strong, eh ?

theres few reasons why you would lose with that comp

1 - demons are amazing vs certain comps but meh vs others, they are garbage vs gun slingers because gun slingers count on on hit items with AAs, burning their mana dont matter to them out side of mf who will stay way back anyway.

2 - blade masters triple hit is cool but the blade masters them self are just ok/decent for the most part out side of hasa feed and draven, you replaced draven with varus who does not abuse blade masters much , sure his regen become better but that increase is no where near how blade masters increase draven damage.

3- speaking of draven it look like the first person took all of the dravens in shop and give him the blade masters buff, he most likely hit way to fast and way to hard at the same time then the varus.

6 demons are not that much stronger than 2/4. If your varus was a hypercarry, getting +1 ranger would probably do a better job. I also see only 5 blademasters, so I guess varus had botrk. That 1st place guy probably sacrificed a goat for the rng gods to get draven3. He also has 5 blademasters, and if he had botrk too, that would make 6 just like you had.

No you lost because your hyper carry is a champion that stops autoing for a significant amount of time to cast a spell, when the blademaster buff is best on a unit that keeps autoing. Turning your Brand, Karma, or Elise into a blademaster would have had a better result.

Despite going blademaster, you didn’t pick up dravens. If you had, you would have also made it harder for him to get a 3 star draven. It looks like he was gunslinger blademaster while you were demon blademaster. But he simply had better units and you let him get that draven.

A 2 star blademaster varus would lose to a 2 star blademaster buff draven, because of the fact that Varus stops to charge as well as because Draven is a tier 4 whereas Varus is a tier 2. Varus was essentially a terrible champion to focus on vs their team comp. And he had a a THREE STAR DRAVEN.

But wait, he also had a two star MF. Just from comps, he outplayed you. Your best bet would have been to focus on your yasuo and your brand. Make them your carries.

What would have also worked well is removing the focus from going 6 demons and stopping at 2-4, putting in more rangers, elementalists, or even shapeshifters. Like taking out that morgana evelynn or maybe even that elise in exchange for something like kindred ashe vayne or Anivia Kennen Ashe. Swain + gnar would have also been swell and Swain wouldn’t have even removed your demon. You could have also worked in Karthus Kindred and one more sorcerer, giving you phantom sorcerer 3. A thornmail braum + a leona would have given your team guardian (and a single other noble, maybe something like Kayle, would have also given of of your blademasters a noble buff). All of these would have potentially allowed you to stand a chance, and I am sure you had the opportunity to do at least one or two of these.

You just tunnelvisioned on the build you were going for instead of counter building/covering your weaknesses. Good job on 2nd place nonetheless.

What do we learn:

  • Buy the Draven: So first place would most likely have not gotten his 3-Star Draven.

  • Move on from Varus: A Level 2, 2 Star is hardly a hypercarry. 4 or 5 should get all you items lategame.

  • Level 3, 1 Stars are good but that's it. While Elise might have some Value, Fiora could easily be said Draven,

  • Eve could easly be a Swain to get Imperial.
