Slowest loser wins

Hi,

This is my first time ever going onto the forums, and I'm not sure if this issue has been addressed before.

I've been playing ranked TFT and enjoy using faster-paced compositions, but I've noticed when I'm fighting for the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th positions and losing the game, I'm usually the first one to go out in the round. This lands me in the lowest spot when the guy who went out three or so seconds after me gets the next one up.

It seems like because we went out in the same round, we should earn the same prize, regardless of whether he stacked his braum with a warmog's and thornmail to turtle, or I stacked my kindred with offensive items.

I guess to sum up, it's as if a defensive approach is rewarded while an offensive approach is punished, even though we both still lost.

Not sure if this is the community sentiment, but I'd like to hear back.

This game has more problems than things right at this point. You'd think something logical like X player would now have -13 health and player Y would have -6 health, so player Y places higher...but that's too simple.

The game is a race to see who dies last. You died before the person so they finish higher than you.

I've noticed the same for what it's worth and it made the gamemode pretty boring to me. It feels like it takes a lot longer to finish out a full game now compared to last season of it and I just can't be bothered. I'm not sure how this is supposed to work for mobile with games lasting 20-30 minutes
