Account reset after riot account switch

So I changed my riot username like they asked and a couple days later, I log in and they ask me to change my ign, do the SR intro (which i obviously didnt do) and now my main account is lvl1...nothing had been saved. I've had this account since S3 and all my RP puchases, BE, skins, stats have been reset and I have no idea what in the world happened to it because its on op.gg

Ive sent in a ticket and currently waiting for a response but im curious as to wtf happened and if anyone else's account had been hard reset as well.
