Shapeshifters: A Balance Issue
Balancing isn't easy especially in a game like League of Legends wherein the main game there are almost 150 champions (144 upon my research). There is just way too many different styles and synergies to consider. Team Fight Tactics currently does not face these issues of course (currently) and yet there are a few balancing issues.
Now Riot, I am sure you are aware of the overall issue of most builds being ineffective particularly in the late game. This is all apart of the game still being in developmental stages, kinks to work out and issues to prioritize. I imagine you do not truly want to see this fun and addicting (albeit sometimes frustrating lol) strategy game turn into a race to achieve one or 2 specific builds. In regular league this is inevitable but in TFT you have a chance to be able to mix it up more. Now this is challenging but the fact of the matter is the last 10 or so games I have played it has been the same thing, a race to build shapeshifters and buff up Shyvanna.
Now admittedly, I do not like to do the same thing over and over again so I am not on this bandwagon. In fact when I did try it I did not have as much success as others. I am by no means the best or probably even good. That is not the issue, the issue is it is boring to see the same thing every game. To watch whatever build I assemble do well in the early to mid and then hit the wall of shapeshifters led by the almighty Shyvanna. Perhaps a damage reduction on Shyvanna's ability could help, maybe a slight reduction to shapeshifters health.
Now I do realize there are potential counters to the shapeshifters but I do not feel they are significant or reliable enough. Again perhaps I am clearly not good enough and that is why I am currently sitting in Gold IV for TFT. I can only go by my own observations. If anyone from Riot reads this and finds some stock in it then thank you. If you do not find stock in but read it then thank you. If you did read it and think I am a scrub...rude but thank you.
