Riot do something about the queue timer

The fact that the queue timer keeps going up when you are in queue is absolutely absurd. I went from a 30min queue timer to a 60min queue timer in 20min. The waiting time is something that can't happen you should've fully expected the surge of players trying to play but did little to anything about it baffles me, and the solution you thought of was to make a queue timer? while it worked at first after more people started to come on it kept on increasing.

Plz fix I want to play :(
