i just dont get it....

so let me get this correct... you place people down and then stop playing a game to watch the computer play? i get how people can like those story games that you don't really play just press X/A then watch a cut scene then are running and have to press R2 to jump over something and go on. but in this game its like pressing the new game button then just like let it ride...? i get you can move it around in between games but i don't get this game. you literally watch it for 20 mins and actually put in like 2 mins of inputs? am i getting this right or am i just too old now? anyone please explain... and i get that people like to watch other people play games like via twitch or whatever but not watch the game play by itself. and not like TAS runs but just like generic runs. This literally reminds me of playing a game of Mario Party and then making it so all players are computers then just watch it play. This just isn't fun to me.
