I'm not as much into anime as I used to be but I have been reading some Manhwas recently.

Although my brother and I just watched out the first season of "Sword Art Online" last night. Not sure if that qualifies me or not.

Anime its like music, there is something for you out there! different "genders", art stile, etc!!

i dont tag my self as an "Otaku" b/c i live in japan and even fans of anime hate being call "otaku", the definition it is 100% an insult here, like the "N" word back in USA. But well, thats irrelevant.

PD.: if u like Sword Art Online, i recommend you to watch "Log Horizon" and "Overlord" the themes are similar, but the anime it self are really different and really fking good!

Thats interesting that being called an Otaku is an insult! :o What would you call a fan of Anime then?

like i say, anime its like music...

ex.: if u like rock you maybe tag as a Rocker metal = metalhead/headbanger/etc

anime fan, we dont have that, i will say we are nameless xD colorless, etc. . .

i work in the military and i love being call a metalhead cuz of my music taste. . . but i like anime so... that how it goes i guess.

I avoid using the word for the same reason, I don't live in Japan but I know the original meaning was meant to be highly derogatory. Thanks for the recommendations though, I'll definitely check them out.
