[LFP] Looking for a Semi-booster

Kotex··1 votes·248 views

When i say im looking for someone to boost me i don't mean i'm looking for someone to carry me while i just sit back and get boosted into a tier i don't belong in. I want to find a real veteran that can highly influence my ranked games for the better and help me climb into a respectable tier, while i of course pull my own weight that i CAN pull.

I have been playing since the end of season 2/beginning of season 3 (I JUST missed championship riven... so salty... ;_;) so i can say that ive gotten the experience to say im not terrible, though i do have my bad games where i just flop hard on my face either because im just tilted or my opponent is simply outplaying me and snowballed. I play regularly with platinum, diamond and very occasionally even CHALLENGER tier players in casual games, yet i can't formally make it to a tier higher than silver--granted i actually havent been trying too hard until midway into last season.

Out of all the normal games ive played im craving to be a part of higher tier gameplay, but i want a good chance to get into it with the right people, rather than taking 1 step forward and two steps back alone in Yolo queue pubs. I want a confident and skilled partner to help if anyone is willing to? :D

Some advice, Maybe try focusing more on how "you" can help yourself climb instead of looking for someone else to help you climb.

  • If you feel like tilting is a contributing factor that's holding you down, work on that. Try to learn ways to avoid getting tilted. The internet is a good place to research about this.
  • If you're constantly getting outplayed, well, then maybe you don't "belong" in a higher tier. That's not because "you" as a person are not worthy, rather because your current skills are not sufficient.
  • What can you do about it? Stop the mentality of wanting to climb, and instead go into your ranked games focusing above anything else on winning your lane/outplaying your opponent/honing your skills so that you are one outplaying others. Pay attention to what the enemy is doing and how he outplays you, and from there how can you avoid our counter that.
  • If you're losing games because someone on the enemy team keeps snowballing, there is an actual proper way of how to play from behind, in order to minimize the enemy's advantage while slowly and progressively catching up to them. Again, you can learn how to do that on the internet.

There's nothing wrong with wanting a partner to rank queue. I myself much rather duo than solo. However, dealing with your own issues before is guaranteed to be 100% more effective than trying to remedy them with another person to help do the work. You can trust me on that.

I'm open to any questions if you'd like to talk more about it. Best of luck on the Rift.

Yes and i agree. But i was never trying to give the impression that i didn't have to"improve" myself as i mentioned im not looking for someone to "carry" me while i DONT pull the weight i need to pull. Im confident in myself that i can pull my weight just fine, but im looking for an equally confident person to make the best use of the weight that i can pull. I never said im "constantly" getting outplayed. Im merely admitting that im not perfect and sometimes a bad game is just a bad game that I have without blaming those around me :3

With that said, im simply trying not to muck around. If i can, and if i can find someone to offer me a hand, i merely WANT to make progress. I was good enough to climb to gold promos last season with me casually trying out ranked, but I want to get further than even gold this season with the right people.

I know you mean well and i highly genuinely appreciate your positive reply, thank you. <3 But i dont want my request taken out of context as such as to make it seem like I don't know what i'm doing, and im looking for someone to do it for me me rather than working things out myself, which is not at all what i said or at least am NOT trying to say, i just want to do it with the right people this time for maximum chances of success is all, ya know? :D One person can only do so much alone sometimes, ya know?

I suppose i didn't have to word it as such to make it seem that way so i guess that is again my bad, but that is not the case; Im not used to making these kinds of posts. Im just looking for an equally experienced partner.

Based on your match history you are already playing at your skill level, having someone 'boost' you to a higher level is just going to make it so you are no longer impactful at all and it will be harder to learn.

Things you can work on ( In order of importance )

  1. Die less
  2. Obtain a higher average GPM ( Gold Per Minute )
  3. Fix your build path ( I only looked at your last Corki game because I'm not about to go through a bunch of matches to prove my point, but you build tri force in a non-optimal way, IE: Build components in wrong order )
  4. When not playing an ADC, learn how to carry by building defensively, you seem to put 95% of your money into offensive items, fixing this could help you fix #1 on this list

I feel you. I personally didn't interpret it badly, didn't intend to imply you wanted someone to carry you. I guess my point was, in short terms, perhaps it would be more time-efficient, or just more efficient, to improve your game before looking for help, or at least focus on that first. After all, you can find people who are willing to team up and climb together without really searching for them, but you can't get better if you don't focus on that instead.

Also, I'm sure that a bunch of people are just gonna reply to criticize or tell you how you should do things. I'm merely suggesting what has worked for me in the past :)

Good luck!
