My mechanics aren't good enough to clear this baron ward :'(

Literally face-palming watching the replay of this game where I let my die because 3 members of my team (including me) can't figure out how to clear two very well placed wards in the Baron pit. How do you clear these without clicking on the Baron?

Is there some mechanical trick I'm missing? Or is baron just too tall?
