ARAM Re-roll - - - > Please fix this!

In champion select last night one of the team has Quinn . She is in the free rotation this week. He re-rolls since no one wants to trade and gets Tryndamere , who is also in the rotation. He grumbles in chat with no one wanting to trade, blows his 2nd re-roll.... and gets Quinn AGAIN! He was not happy about it at all.

A similar event a week or so ago, a team mate re-rolls off Singed (free-roll) and gets his main and chats how happy he is about it. Another team mate decides to re-roll.... and gets Singed and is quite upset because he already declined to trade for him through the system prior to re-rolling.

These events should not be allowed. I am posting in the hopes that we can prevent them from ever happening to anyone else. In both cases at least one player's morale was reduced before it even started which affected mine as the game loaded and likely others with me as well. For most of us re-rolls are not exactly disposable and take a while to earn. I realize that the re-roll process is likely weighted to the free rotation's champs to promote diversity and depth in player's champions. However there does not seem to be much logic in letting the system re-assign a champion a person has already spent a time earned re-roll to dispose of. The same is true if a person has declined that champion in a trade attempt.

There are certainly much bigger TahmKench for you Red's to fry out there, but it is hard to ignore that fixing this will significantly add to the "player experience" merely by not allowing these events to occur and degrade it in the first place.

If you had the champion before you re-rolled you should not be able to get that

However, if a teammate has Singed, and rerolls for Tryndamere and then you get Singed.. that's just how gambling works. If you reroll your pressing the button yourself and basically agreeing you can get a better or worse champion. Your own fault

I agree that champions should not be re-rolled if you've already re-rolled them before that lobby. Though honestly it takes only 1-2 games to earn a re-roll. I'm not sure about not being able to roll rotation champions however

When you get a champion you don't play: Ok, I'll just reroll

Gets a champion they hate playing immediatly after and out of rerolls:

Ummm....it's totally random, and shit like this can and will happen. Heck I have gone into ARAM's where I had the luck of getting Malphite 2 matches in a row right at the start. Other times I get 3 straight ARAM's as champs I am crud at and just had to deal with it. It's like rolling dice. at first you might roll bad, then have a few good rolls, then for a long while nothing but bad rolls for a long while. It. Happens.

Had an ARAM a while back where someone rolled away I think Trynd. And someone else rerolled a second later and got Trynd. Then rerolled, and got the first champion he rerolled(Udry? I think it was).

Someone dodged that one in the end.

All "random" at it's finest folks. Between this, horribly one sided match ups (followed by the enemy team taunt spamming cause they know they got better picks) and seeing the same 4-6 champs every match, it would be better just to make them all available in ARAM.

Well. Think about it. If you throw a dice and it lands on 3. Every roll after that has the same chances of landing on 3. So by that logic if you start aram with singed and re-roll singed should still be in the mix because the chance of landing each champion should all be the same.

can we also just get 2 rerolls every match? I hate when people ditch because they are stuck with someone they don't like or being chastised for sticking with the champ your where given even though you know you where gonna do poorly just because you don't have any rerolls because it's eve free week

+1 to you good sir!

I play ARAM a lot.. and the sheer amount of times I get the SAME champion in select (even after rerolls), is just dumbfounding and makes me think there's nothing "random" about it. [rage, rage, foam at the mouth, rage]

Seriously, I've had Kayle "selected" for me, 3x games in a row, with many other champs going 2x games in a row, like Aatrox, Singed, Amumu, ect.

Not that I don't mind getting tanks or what not, but because "Rerolls" take so much time to actuire, it would be nice to see Rerolls only "pull from" your actual champion line up, by excluding "free week rotations".

I don't think that's too much to ask tbh.

You guys havent realized that aram is a way to force you to play champs that are under the magnifying glass yet?

Centuros9/25/2015, 3:10:46 PM1 votes

Also, if you don't already get your re-rolls back if you use them and then somebody dodges, you really should. Unless you dodge, then you should lose a reroll and all progress towards a new one.

A solution that could work is allowing a few more customization options for specifically rerolls. Obviously ARAM could randomly pick from the available champs, but player could possibly pick options before the ARAM roll. Simple things like checking a box to allow it to roll free rotation champs that you don't own, or allow it to roll champs you have not played even once. This could alleviate other possible issues, as well as reduce/remove the chance of rerolling champs that have been declined/rerolled by team members. It's a pretty easy fix. If no one wants the champ, the game should remove them from the roll selection for everyone on a team and allow players some minor choice to prevent them from getting champs they won't get any fun out of.

Did he die because he had to play as Quinn? A re-roll is a risk. You can get a better or worse champ. And as long as it's not the current champ you have I don't see any prob with it randomly picking a previous champ again

Dessim89/27/2015, 12:23:49 AM1 votes

All Mid is a fun way to play, never sure why the random caught on. Doesn't Riot hate random mechanics? That's why they removed evasion stat from Tabis... no? Yet they left the random in HA?

Lol this just happened to a friend in an ARAM earlier this week. He rolled a bad pick and got the same pick. I hadn't seen it before then and I was hoping it was just a bug so maybe it can be fixed in the next patch.

also, if you reroll a champ you don't want, the enemy team can get that champ if they reroll after you.
