Make Ascension new Dominion

Dominion has lost so much popularity, but Ascension was Super Fun. I was thinking, ... I know Ascension is a "special" game mode for 2 weeks a year or something, if we even get to see it that often (this year it hasn't happened yet and we're 1/3 through Summer Split).

So.... Ascension should just become the NEW PERMANENT Dominion, bring back the popularity a few notches, and maybe upgrade the map minions/towers/etc like you did for Twisted Treeline.

I think Ascension would really keep the game mode popularity up, make it take less time to wait in queue, and make it even more fun/competitive (not ranked-like competitive, but you know, competitive like FUN).

I didn't find it much fun, it was so dumbed down. I don't think it'd really last, I think it'd compete too much with ARAM. I also don't think Dominion is that bad off on the largest server (EUW), though I can't say for NA (which is, what, the 2nd largest? 3rd?).

They can bring back Ascension as a temprorary game mode, I'm fine with that, but I don't think it'd work as a permanent game mode, not enough players would play it. Out of curiosity, what made you like it better than Dominion?

Ascension would become less popular than Dominion pretty quickly. If you don't know Dominion had a nice player base for a good time. But Riot lies (they promised ranked a bit after the release) and lack of support killed it.

Have been a fan of dominion casually (favorite game mode other than URF). Dominion is not very snowbally (aside from the odd quests) while Ascension was as or more snowball reliant than Twisted Treeline or 1v1's. I feel Dominion is a pretty healthy game mode whereas Ascension would die out very quickly were it to be made permanent. I'd say the main reason Dominion is not too many people understand how the game mode works and this causes the competitiveness of it to be reduced (it would also help if Dominion had a ranked queue). Rather than replace Dominion a rework of the map to get rid of some bugs and maybe to give learning mechanics to the map would be overall a better decision.
