IP Time Limit in Dominion

So I played a quick Dominion match for the purpose of getting the 150 IP First Win of the Day Bonus...blah blah blah

Turns out this match went very easy with not too much effort. This made me satisfied until I realized at the end that if the match were to last 5 more SECONDS I would have had the IP that I played for. Instead, I got exactly nothing...

Now I understand the purpose of this 7 minute time limit and it has a very good use in Normals on the 2 major maps and 7 minutes seems to be the perfect time to determine whether or not a match was fair at all when playing on Summoners Rift. However in Dominion, 7 minutes just doesn't cut it in terms of a good reason that this match was unfair.

In this specific example, I don't see any reason in particular because no one on the enemy team complained or was afk. They merely just played bad, and no one on the other side had any complaints at all. Furthermore, let's consider the probability of when a certain game ends in Dominion and in the Rift. I have been playing Dominion a lot recently just for the hell of it, and most of my games that are quick wins end just over 10 min and occasionally when the match is challenging stretch on to 15 min. Dominion matches are indeed designed to be much shorter no matter which side is winning. I have approximately 100 matches of Dominion under my belt and only 5 of them have been as long as a max of 25 minutes where 15 of those are under 15 min long. I'm not going to pull stats on my Rift matches but in general they are much longer and don't even come close to being 15 minutes long unless something strange is going on.

ALSO...the entire mode of Dominion is based on the end of the game occurring because of a 'timer' itself. There no way to 'wait' for 7 min mark to pass until the last of the nexus health is gone

Therefore, I believe the time limit should be shorter as nothing remotely strange happened here
