new SRift more zoomed in?

It feels like the new Summoners Rift is more zoomed in and its annoying. It looks great other than that, nice job. Please allow an option to zoom out even further. This is for people with large monitors. I use a 27 inch monitor and it feels like I can see way less of the map now. This could be an option to allow farther out zoom, or just make it so you can zoom out farther by default. This would make the experience 10x better for people with large monitors. Thanks!

Is that what happened. One more thing not to like about the poorly designed new map.

They talked about it in one of the blogs, I think; they actually zoomed the camera out but reduced the FoV, so there's less fish-eye effect around the edges of the screen. It might also look more zoomed in because there aren't as many tiny details in the map, but it should be basically identical in terms of how much you see at any given moment.

"They did this instead of flipping the camera. :P" aka they failed

why they wont flip the cam is a mystery to me .. they do it for champ select your never on the right side ...

why they wont unlock the cam is an even bigger mystery to me ( as i said before cam issues are stuff from 90's gaming how have we not moved passed this)

my monitors are two 46" tv screens ... i need to be able to zoom out more. seeing that old thread how old it is and rito responses makes me super sad, this should have been done long ago with great ease clearly ...

Please just allow players to flip the map diagonally across the river if they want. That way, you can always seem to start in the bottom left corner and the part of the screen with the most viewable space is the one most directly facing the enemy.

Is playing on the purple side really that huge of a deal? As a Draven player I have to say that I don't really ever feel like I'm ever going to lose a fight because I'm chasing someone and they happen to be stuck under my mini-map because I'm holding the space bar.

**-Said no Draven, ever. **

Does it have the "zoomed in feel" for performance reasons? I could see how having the camera zoomed out to far could affect performance...but what about people who's computer can handle it? Maybe give us an option in the menus to allow farther zoom out with a performance warning? It just feels really strange not being able to zoom out more, especially on a large monitor.

They changed the camera angle so that you can see more on the bottom and less on the top.

It's not just large monitors; I can barely see anything around my view now, either, and my monitor isn't terribly big. I cannot stand this new zoom level.

I am really sad they removed so much detail. The new textures are so flat and boring. The color palette is just terrible,

They tunneled the vision by reducing the camera's ability to detect things going on the peripheral. They slightly zoomed the camera out to compensate this but it still does mean you're just not seeing as much space as you used to. They did this instead of flipping the camera. :P

Give me back the noisy detail. The map looks like crap without it.
