As we all know Nunu get's various buffs from Consuming(Q) Various Jungle Monsters, since the Jungle monsters will be Changing, will the Q just get new Text, or will Nunu be getting a Rework/VU? Since Nunu was one of the original 40, and he does look kind of like old Annie, it's safe to say Nunu is being discussed for a Visual Rework/Update
Although he doesn't look terrible, i would agree he needs a VU, but there are other champs who need VU's just as bad, or are already getting them
They have already stated that they are looking at Nunu and adjusting him in order to keep him up to date with this change to Summoner's Rift. They aren't ready to give out details yet and they most likely won't say anything about it until it goes to PBE.
I would say that Nunu is much like Garen was when they gave him his VU this time last year; Low Risk, High Reward. He doesn't need any work done to make his kit cohesive with his theme, and he doesn't need that much work for most of his skins. The only thing that is stopping him from getting a VU for these reasons is because of his Nunu-Bot skin. Riot would most likely want to upgrade that to some degree (as they do with all champion skins on relaunch/VU's) but since it would be the first legendary skin they would update, it would set precedent on the matter, and that is something that Riot has to think over carefully before moving on it. I think that they aren't going to be giving him a VU at this time because they want to focus some more on other champions.
Also, Nunu isn't very high on the priority list compared to someone like Sion, so there is always that stalling a VU.
I would just make sense to change the text on the Q. I would be a lot of trouble to change his kit just because the camps have different names.
Honestly, though, He does need some sort of update. I think a VU would do well with him, but a texture update would be nice too. I don't like he needs a rework, but you never know.
I would like a fourth buff for consuming the Gromp camp. I think a new VU would be nice, but he is by far one of the better looking original 40 champs.
as far as visual updates go, i believe that the yeti should have a slightly more muscular body build, currently he seems like some sort of basement more hairy version of the comic book guy from simpsons. as for nunu, a little work is needed, but not to heavily, as i currently see it they both look like reject from DR sues.
I believe Nunu's kit is perfect for what he is supposed to be. However, his in-game model, especially when compared to his splash art, definitely needs a VU. The splash art shows him to be epic and dangerous and wild (or at least Willump). However, when you look at the in-game model, he looks awkward and derpy. The funny thing is at least for the grungy skin, Willump lacks the right facial expression to denote "I'm gonna eat all your cookies", I believe it mainly has to do with the eyes not being googlie enough.
I think Nunu doesn't necessarily need a visual update as much as Urgot... Urgot looks terrible and his skins are even worse! Look at Giant enemy CrabGot...
