[Dominion] The 1500 MMR range...

Anyone else here noticed this MMR range is the worst ever? I mean there is no much change on the player skills. The difference is on how they play the mode. Bellow that you have low SR ranked players that understand if you pick Leona you are going to cc the enemy from time to time and they can use this window. In the 1500 MMR range people playing champs like Lux will go almost into melee range to AA and still complain on you for trying to save their butts, this is just one of the examples. I once went to 1600MMR range (had a huge losing streak and droped to 1300 ¯_(ツ)_/¯) so this is not the first time it happens to me, that's why I wonder if someone else have this experience. Now I had a small 9 game win streak and it pushed me to 1550MMR and I experience all this again Bloody lose streak, hope I'll be able to pass this range again. 1600 felt a lot better.

In the 800 range, the only people playing dominion are bots. :D

I've noticed a marked improvement. You're EUW? I can't speak for that region but in NA I frequently run into people who have at least a decent grasp on the meta (what to do when we start down 1 person, what items are generally good, etc). Sure you still get people who are... not up to snuff, but it's much rarer. My biggest complaint is everyone always wants to play a mage so I don't get to play a wide variety of champions (I actually got to play Nidalee last night and I've wanted to be able to start learning her for months now. Usually I'm running Hecarim to fulfill both tanky and AD requirements). I play with some friends who tend to drop us down to 1,100-1,200 and it's definitely a pretty distinct difference.

I played last night with some sub-30 friends, which put us way down in the 1100s for MMR. No bots, but the teams were extremely derp. My team was all on voice with me so I was able to lead them pretty well, but the enemy was...

This wasn't even the typical dominion noob mode of "I play SR so I'm going to pretend this is kinda like that and push lane" this was stuff that would never work on ANY map. Enemy morde built LVDP and lichbane. Kat built a nashor's. For their actual play, I don't know WHAT they were doing. They grouped well, but their movements were impossibly weird. Half good and half completely open. It looked more like an Ascension grouping than anything else. Still not as bad as the SR noob stuff I used to see, but it also broke apart a lot. Eventually they ended up breaking apart completely with Sona trying to bait my gyus into a chase, Kat standing on point being useless, and the rest just trying to hunt me down across the map for some reason. It was bad.

So to you I say... just be glad you're not getting THOSE guys.

1500 is hardly above entry level so why are you surprised?

Remember how many people play this game, and realize that at least half of them are so awful you will wonder how they remember to breathe. Those are the people at 1500. Get to 1700+ and you should start to expect some improvement but don't expect real quality games until at least 1900+
