Pros and Cons of Permanent U.R.F.

Pros and Cons of bringing back U.R.F If I missed any- please comment below :) Personally, I want U.R.F. back!

PROS:

  1. It's more fun This is quite obvious.. I don't really know of an U.R.F. video out there where the person hated it or didn't have that much fun- in all the videos they had tons of fun! Like you said.. no mana, no fun- and now that there is no mana- it's fun. -U.R.F. was the most fun I have had in league (have been played since pre-season 3)

  2. Shorter games Yes.. 40+ minute games can be intense and fun but getting to it (early game) is boring because there is less action and mainly farming. Plus they take up a lot of time! U.R.F. games are a lot shorter and the action is more compact which **would make people play more **

  3. Every champ is viable Most champs are "not viable" due to mana issues, cooldowns, lack of mobility etc. With U.R.F. champs have no mana, a lot smaller cds, more mobility (ms and cds) etc. i.e. Varus is not as viable currently (people may have other opinions) but with U.R.F. he doesn't have a mana problem, has even better poke, his cds are now good, and he gets mobility and as! Heck AP Varus would be really good! -There would be some exceptions like Elise but she has here own huge problem

  4. You (Rito) would get more money If more people play again and all champs are viable- you would get a lot more money More people would play as well

  5. It gives the game a lower skill floor and higher skill roof Now, newer players can have more fun and make plays, even if they are literally smashing their face against the keyboard! Also, people can make more plays with the new buffs.. yet again you said it yourself. -This way you can get more players to join and veterans to stick around and play more!

CONS:

  1. If it were to stay permanently, it could get bland very fast. If you eat cheesecake or candy everyday you're going to get sick or it and never eat it again. (This is probably the reason Riot make it temporary)

Side notes:

  1. You know what would be even better?

HEXAKILL U.R.F.!

Not One For All/TT though because that would be absolutely insane

  1. The game would need tweaking (aka. champions need to be banner/severely nerfed and a handful need to be buffed) -Rito you do this already

Just saying this is a win win Rito.

i do understand what you are getting at, but what we really need

is Doom bots, but everyone gets doom powers, but with 20% CD increase with Runes,Masteries/items disabled because some champs like Lux and Ezreal are god damm insane in Doom bots

Candy is the perfect comparison. Riot should make it like candy:

  • Available via Custom Game modes, meaning you can have it once in a while but it's not something you're encouraged to do 24/7
  • Have a special time of the year where it stops being a non-featured game mode and becomes a featured game mode again (like Halloween is the one major day of the year for Candy)

Riot also needs to give up on balancing it. Let champion X be OP, let players ban champion X if they need to.

There should be a weekly rotation of special modes. 1 week of your favorite mode only available every 6 weeks or so doesn't seem like too much. I'm only playing vs. AI right now occasionally in between seasons; I'd certainly like some URF or Doom Bots so I have more non-competitive options to chill and just enjoy it at my own pace before S5 starts.

Meh, i do hope they bring it back this April, but yes, making it permanent will probably change the flow of League of Legends somehow, with ranked and stuff. And as you mentioned, ALL champs are viable. The ones that were viable before become TOO DAMN OP!!! (Annie Leona Syndra Skarner Maokai, yeah the list goes on.

Well i guess they could bring back urf permanently because people like candy. And when the people get sick of the candy they just go play summoners rift normal 5 v 5 .And when they just want to have fun they play urf so they get this sweet taste of what a game out of control is.Plus urf trains to hit skillshots so it trains people to use the champions. so for all these reasons they should bring back urf. :D
