Ascension to me was a very good game mode. I can see it replacing dominion as it made a player Ascend to be bigger and stronger and feel more like a boss fight. It isn't as crazy fun as URF is, but it has more balance towards fun and competitive.
Paige8 votesAscension was my favorite game mode! as taboo as it is to say it, i liked it a lot more than i liked URF. it actually felt like a mode some thought was put into, not just, "here spam your spells have fun" I would love if it were added as a permanent mode, but I am definitely against removing dominion. it's true there aren't as many people who play it, but there ARE still players who enjoy it. I play it occasionally myself, and would play it more if the queues weren't so long..
Yulen Xoshxius2 votesAgreed, I would play dominion more as well if the ques were not as bad. It would be great if they left most modes there all year except silly for fun ones like URF and Poroking. Then again, if they did that there would be many different ques so all ques may get longer.

Yulen Xoshxius1 votesI used it to farm ip at lower levels when I kept getting champs I did not like. It worked great because the bots people used for their accounts were worse than the AI so I would easily get kills and take towers.
Minarde4 votesBecause it was added back when Riot cared about promoting alternate maps. Disabling Dominion now does nothing except reduce available content.
Minarde1 votesAny particular reason you prefer Ascension over Dominion? Dom has much more strategic depth than Ascension does, though, admittedly, the Xerath buff is more satisfying than the Storm Relic buff.
Yulen Xoshxius1 votesI found it more fun that vision was more limited, there was a boss fight where the winner got to become the boss, no retreating. It had a lot more sneaking around involved as I recalled. XD
OneMoreDaySK1 votesMaybe revamp / combine Dominion with Ascension. Have cap towers, relic collection and the giant Xerath in the middle. Go crazy: have a super version of the storm relics near the giant Xerath, but have attempting to collect it will aggro the guy. Just tossing some ideas out.
