The Sandstorm Arena - New Game Map [Duelist/Survivor/All For One - Game Modes]
The Sandstorm Arena The Sandstorm Arena is set in the untamed deserts of Shurima, where they house a pit for gladiators who are seeking glory, freedom, fame, and riches. Unpredictable like the desert themselves the arena is prone to changing events. The size of the Sandstorm Arena is about the size of the inner circle of the Dominion map. There are 6 pads where champions can spawn from, often at random points. Every 3-5 minutes the map itself is prone to change: pillars may explode out of the ground to knock aside champions, guardians of the desert may leap out of the sand to attack the unwary, a relentless sandstorm may come through and reduce the vision of every champion on the map. These vary depending on the game modes, but this was the general gist of the idea.
Duelist A one-on-one slug it out challenge. Each champion gains 5 lives, and the last one standing with their 5 lives are the winner. Easy right? Well, not entirely. See by killing an enemy champion you usually gain gold and experience but here: It is the loser who gains the gold and experience bonus. This is to even the trade off on each encounter. Champions have 25 seconds at the start to buy, locked on their pads until the 25 second mark is up. Pads do not heal and will not allow to shop once the dueling has started. Champions can only buy while they are dead or waiting for the enemy champion to respawn after falling to your blade. Passive experience generation, gold generation, and resource regeneration have been increased by 250% in this game mode. This game mode is designed to last 15-20 minutes, allowing for short games for those who either don't have much time - or want to prove themselves the greatest duelist alive.
Survivor The floor to the arena has collapsed to reveal a maze underneath the floor where the old arena once stood. Six champions enter the maze at random points: You must fight to survive with only 3 lives each. This small maze will pit each champion against one another, and the winner will be the one who survives the end of the day. The small pad at the center of the maze will activate for 15 seconds every 3 minutes, and in this time all champions who enter the pad go into stasis for 10 seconds where they recover all their health, resource, and grants them the ability to buy. After the stasis is over, champions are randomly teleported to one of the pads around the arena. Health and resource regeneration has been increased to 150%, as well as gold and experience generation being increased to 250%. You can only buy when you die or if you reach the center pad in time. Random neutral monsters spawn in the maze, varying in damage, health, and speed. The fast monsters grant bonus gold and run away from you, the tankiest monsters grant a small boost to missing health and resource and give bonus gold and fight back one attacked. The strong monsters with higher attack will attack any champion they see without provocation, and these grant gold, experience, health and resource upon their slaying. There are random HP packs around the maze, and respawn every 60 seconds. All monster stats increase depending on time elapsed: +5% every minute. If you can survive the monsters who roam the maze, and if you can find and slay all who oppose you in the maze, then you can be the summoner who obtains true glory.
All For One The arena had unpredictable events that occur every 60 seconds, and now there are six gladiators who stand in the arena. All of you are now on the same team, fighting the same fight. The monsters that come through those gates are there to kill you: both human and feral alike. Every wave has a 15 second delay where health packs will spawn around the arena and champions can buy items from the store in the middle of the arena. The monsters are ruthless - use everyone to survive! It's a horde mode plain and simple, just beware of the events that hit the arena as these can make or break a team. If a sandstorm hits and you lose all allied vision, you need to know where everyone is so you can stick together and survive. The gladiators/champions win after 50 rounds, with a tough round every 5 levels. The arena wins if all champions fall. All champions are revived 5 rounds after their death, so if one of you fall don't panic - just don't die until they get back! Gold and experience generation, as well as health and resource regeneration, are normal at 100%. Earn your gold and experience by slaying the monsters. Heal with supports or use the HP packs found at every rest stop. Fight - and live to see another fight!
