In my opinion to have a main isn't the point of URF. It's URF though so do what you want and have fun; just don't ruin it for others.
I do not have a main on URF. I've played more than two dozen games so far, and have not yet played any champion more than once.
AD 
Hecarim. Mostly because he's my normal main, and he's great at teleporting in to fights (which is up every minute), and with no mana or cooldown gating he can 1v1 pretty much anyone. I go jungle, clear my 6 camps then solo Dragon before recalling.
My main is bae.

Epic Broken, maxing gate second means it is up 100% of the time and you can eventually have 2 on the map at the same time.

I admit, I LOVE sona in URF. I have played her several times. I have also played trist a few times. I am finding that I like to experiment though. Garen makes me a bit dizzy though, lol. It is so fun to just try someone. There really is no pressure, you do what you can. Let's enjoy this while we can.

She's so fast. so fast. 2 points in W = 100% uptime on HYPERFAST
she has all the tools. poke, support, decent damage, ALL the CC, shields everywhere, and hyperspeed
My urf main in every champion in league
I've taken a liking to Jungle Kha. Honestly kind of hilarious how fast you scale with both jungles all to yourself. Once you evolve wings you can get around the map in seconds and gank CONSTANTLY. Honestly considering dropping teleport from him because honestly it doesn't take much more time to just hop wherever you're goin'. Having an Exhaust or some such can really secure those pesky Ezreals.
i main nami she has heal like sona every second plus the heal does damage its fun 
is awesome. Knock up, silence and burst for all the people playing the infinite sustain and dash champs.
