Idiots, that's who. You want to take away options because you had a bad experience? Well that's on you, just go back to normals and let those who like it play. I have not encountered much toxicity at all, and the couple there were we just laughed at and muted.

I agree with your point, but I must admit they are not calling for it to go out and never return, just they are happy that its time will pass soon. Of course, if we were talking about a person it would still be a bad thing. XD

I actualy love the game mode. So theres that. Im all for options, that's why I own all of the champions. and have 19 about to get my 20th rune page. I like options. I just don't like going into a fun game mode to have fun and have people purposefully ruin the game for everyone else. Sorry but when a zed builds 6 boots of mobility and just runs to their base and intentionally feeds them I cant just mute that. I understand where you are coming from but calling someone and idiot for being glad something is leaving is pretty ignorant.

Being glad a game mode that's actually fun is going away for no other reason but that there's a few bad apples amongst the bunch is pretty ignorant too, so it seems we're at an impasse.

There's literally no reason to want a game mode to go away. If you're that worried about trolls, don't play it, but don't act like it's cool that riot's going to lock the game mode away for another year only to trot it out next year in lieu of actually making a different game mode. If you loved the game mode, you'd suck it up and play despite the trolls, and not be preemptively dancing on its grave. Find the fun, laugh at how sad those fuckers must be that they've sunk to trolling in an internet video game, and just have fun at their expense, instead of them taxing yours.

I just can't imagine anyone in their right mind being happy that a fun game mode is going to be taken away because someone pissed in their cheerios on some occasions, but apparently these boards are loaded with people with your same mindset judging by the responses to pro urf threads, and it's downright sickening.

But yeah, let's just keep the status quo, riot can keep drip feeding everybody the same 5 modes every few months, still make massive bank with their new lazy recolo- I mean "Chroma Packs" (lmao), and then everybody goes back to their ranked borefest, which is also littered with trolls fyi, that should removed too, right?

There's no bigotry here, it's a cold hard fact that more options > less options, and anyone pulling for the status quo of "Oh you like urf mode? Well too bad! Wait another year" is again, an idiot. You're probably the same people who try to get rid of gay marriage and legalized weed because they don't affect you and you don't care. I'm not gay, nor do I do drugs, but I have this thing called empathy, where I feel how much it would suck to not be able to marry someone because some bible toting morons said so 300 years ago. It's the same thing here, people love playing urf mode, think it's better than the actual game modes, but they'll only get to play the actual fun mode 2 weeks out of the year because everyone just bows down and licks riot's boot.

what does gay marriage and legalizing weed have anything to do with the original post? ill be the first to admit ive lost a lot of faith in riot over the years especially with their decision making on champion nerfs/buffs but I have to agree that if they kept these featured game modes all the time the other ques would die off. Arams only here because it was a community creation that literally took away from main ques and would have ALWAYS taken away from them even if they never made it a que, so that was more of we have no choice on riots end.

The games full of trolls. I never said it should be removed nor did I ever say urf should be removed I just said im glad its not staying. If they chose to keep it that's riots choice. Considering where ranked it means something though having try hards is just something that happens. When I play ranked I don't play for fun I play to dominate. also the first few lines made me laugh. theres a ton of bad apples in urf. most of the community is playing it right now. that's like saying youre only going to get 3 rotten apples out of an entire 5000 acre orchard.

People didn't enjoy Ascension super much because of the fact that you were depending on your team and strategies. The gold income was equal so you couldn't snowball, hence it was all about you and your team beating theirs in strategy, comp and etc.

I have to agree, although I'd love to see all available modes there just for the fun factor. Remember, having fun is the most important factor when playing a game!

But fact, in my opinion is, that most people I'm playing with or against, can't even focus and think straight for a couple of minutes in a normal 5v5 game and with modes like URF, IMHO, I think they force such players somehow to not even think at all while they spam the spells 24/7. What I mean by that is, the less experienced summoners won't be able to improve their gameplay via that mode, which IMHO is key since everybody is looking for a good, skilled teammate.

as I stated in another reply I actually love the game mode and most of the toxicity I encounter aren't even people talking considering I do mute everyone at the first sign of it.

URF was honestly boring since every mistake you made is not considered so hardly, eg. Spamming Kogmaw's ult & having to cast multiple Eve & Urgot's Q. which really takes away all the fun. Best for it to not come back next year.

I hate to say it, but I'm kind of glad it's going. I know we don't have to play it, but I do enjoy the fast-paced gameplay. On the other hand, I didn't get to play much last year, so I was looking forward to it... but it always comes down to rolling the dice on picks/bans and trying to find an enemy team that doesn't want to play (or isn't good with) the few OP champs that counter yours.

My matches today have been me playing fun champs that I enjoy playing on URF that may or may not be top tier, but I always find myself with a bias towards seiging, or poke, or sustain to counter the undoubted enemy uses of those. And in matches where a top OP pick isn't banned, and it's one I owned, I almost feel compelled to play that champ. And sometimes, I am compelled by my teammates.

Today, I went through several losses in a row, my longest loss streak in URF, and my last win was with Sona, under the blanket of some of the weirdest bans I've ever seen on both sides, making picking just a... a crap shoot. It was a solid win, but I did feel bad I had to resort to the use of such an OP champ to secure a victory more easily.

I know I wouldn't mind if it was permanent, as it is fun, and I think a LOT of the problems with it would level out if there was no rush to play it. But I'm good either way. I know it'll be back, so I'm not too worried about it disappearing.

If you want to have fun in URF, you have 2 options:

Play the most OP champions in every single game
Completely stop carrying about wining the game

Otherwise the tryharders will ruin your experience and you will just get mad over stupid temporary game mode.

I am glad that it is leaving soon and am wondering if there will be such an outcry for it to come back like there was last year.hopefully not as there seems to have been more complaints about it this time than people asking for it to be made permanent.

Lets hope people have had their fill of it and look forward to other game modes returning or new ones coming out.

As much as I love URF I do agree in that I do like variety and options, it is unfortunate that if we do enjoy a gamemode it is unlikely we will get to play it again even if we want to for a year.
