There is no way ARAM champion selection is completly random.
I have consistently been getting Leblanc and Katarina, both of which I hate to use.

I managed to get Soraka 3 times in a row, but random is random.
Thing is, this randomness is affected by how many champions you own, so if you own a ton of poke champions, you're more likely to get a poke champion. If you only own 10 champions, you have a really high chance of getting a free week champion. And so on and so forth. Free to play champions are particularly bad if you already own them.
WHoa. Like, once, I got Karthus TWICE IN A ROW. Quick!!! TO THE FORUMS -- RITO MUST KNOW THE SYSTEM IS BROKEN!!
Anecdotal remark is anecdotal....
But I really think it's not as wholly random as the Devs claim.
I play 4 or so ARAMs for every other kind of game mode I play, and I consistently get champions that I own that are also on Free Week on my initial roll or if I reroll. It's gotten to the point where I suspect Free Week champs are bugged in the code to be added to everyone's roll chance, even if they're already present.
There's no way we the players can tell though without diving into the game files and code, and that's a bad thing to do.
I agree that there is something wrong with the "random". I read something where a dev stated you can not get the same champ twice in a row, but I frequently do! It is usually a free champ too, they are insistent buggers :P I think the code needs a look at or some tweaking.
I dont think it is completely radom either. Some champions have a relatively low rate to be selected.
I hit a streak once where I got Sion like 4 games in a row.
I own way more champions than just Sion.
Your half-dozen sample size isn't proof. But hey, mathematicians, statisticians, and engineers should just start listening to tweens still in high school. And Rito James™ too, of course.
