Dear RIOT, For christmas I want... ( Ranked Role Select Rant)

I recently came here from DotA 2 on the incorrect rumor said thusly by my buddy. "You can totally select your role like mid or support or whatever in LoL". Now I can tell you this is a talked about rumor alot and people are pushing to have this in DotA (ranked draft/bans per normal just with selecting your role) AND it doesn't even work as well in Dota due to you either having a trilane in safelane or a jungle and duo safelane (or a aggro trilane).

This feature is actually important enough that I was willing to switch games for this feature alone as a semi-pro player who would have to learn the nuances of a different MobA and basically start over.

To be able to select my role before going into ranked. I just want to play a MobA without having to worry if we have no competent support or a competent jungler or ANY of the lanes for that matter. I have stopped playing ranked and only play teambuilder which also sucks due to no bans, no draft, no competitive spirit. As a former Masters SC2 player, 5.3k Dota I am about to either ragequit the genre and go play counterstrike (where you only have to worry about too many awpers) or I will go play one of the other 50 MobA's around, some of which have role selection WITH NONE OF THE THEORETICAL PROBLEMS THIS COMMUNITY SEEM TO KEEP BRINGING UP I MAY ADD.

PS: Im not sure how it works but the idea of minorly adjusted rating based on said selected role would be a nice feature for when I queue adc, play maybe 10% worse due to not playing much adc, rating could reflect that 10% difference when I queue adc. Would be cool too.
