Aram Champions

Hello fellow Summoners, I have an alternate account which i am using only for ARAM (i play only aram on my main account but i plan on collecting all champions on it whereas the alternate account will only collect champions who do well in aram) because of this i wanted to get some advice on which champion i should buy next. I have done quite a bit of research and i am currently stuck deciding between 3 champions, Ahri, Lux, and Vel'koz. I have played all three and i feel i do decently with them (Lux is actually in my top 3) but i cannot decide who i should save up for, i currently have 3047 IP and i need to know if i should buy lux in 33 more IP or save up for one of the other two. Even though i did say Lux is in my top 3 i do not want it to sway your vote, i would like to keep an open mind to all three rather than just choosing the one i am best with (out of the three) so please post your opinion of the three listed and i will take your comment into consideration.

Note that this is just for the current moment, i will eventually obtain all three but earning IP in Aram can be very slow so i want to know if i should save up for the most expensive and work my way down or get the one that is slightly better than the others. I am also open to hearing your opinions on some other good Aram champions as well just please include your opinion of the three listed above along with your comment.

So you're trying to set up an account with only OP ARAM champions in order to beat the system? Why? I honestly don't understand what would be appealing about doing that. You're taking the random out of all random all mid.

Also Sona, Soraka, Ziggs, and Xerath are the only champs you'd need.

Eh, let him do it if he wants to do it. One more person who'll be qq'ing when Riot finally decides to do something to thwart that practice, like just making all champs free for ARAM anyhow. Got my fingers crossed that they finally do something about it.

Oh an honestly i do not "qq" for things like that i mean if they do that then i will live with it but until then this is how i can blow off some steam. Actually it might be more fun if they unlocked all the champions even though i would end up getting ones i am bad with a lot more often it will let me try some i am less familiar with only downside is for people like me who only play aram they will never have to spend IP so it would be wasted.

I am sorry that you are upset by this but as i said my Main account is about half way if not more so done with getting all the champions and while i do agree with you on some parts after losing 15 games in a row because you keep getting champions you are bad with or are just plain bad you start to get frustrated. I wanted this account to be able to play the game with a higher chance of getting someone i am actually good with and i actually enjoy not to "break the system" think of it as a way to wind down after losing those 15 games in a row. I understand why people think this way and in a sense i agree but everyone has a breaking point when the patience has run out and you do not want to lost your temper, is not that the reason people make alternate accounts in general? To play against "noobs" so they can feel awesome for knowing the game where as new players have no idea what they are doing? I am sorry if i seemed to be ranting or being greedy by buying good aram champions but i need an account i can just play to let off steam i also use alternate accounts to mess around rather than be more serious so its just a good way to take a break from the seriousness but still have fun (i know the saying "winning isn't everything" could apply here but losing so many times in a row gets boring and frustrating)

Hmm i have seen people do really well with them but i am not much of a melee player let alone tank so i am a little hesitant, i may try them on my main though to be sure so thank you for the suggestions.

Thus, go for Lux now. Vel later (he's up there if you expand it out to look at the top 15). Ignore Ahri.

Thank you for the link, i will be sure to save it. As for Ahri i heard a few times that she was good in Aram so i was thinking of getting her but i suppose i will put off on that now. Thanks again

You're right that she's good. But she's not great. I guess it depends on exactly what you're going for on that account. If you want to truly maximize chances of winning, most people will buy 5 or maybe 10 of those top champs. If you still want to play a little variety over time, you could expand that to some of those 'good but not great' champions. This would also be a bit less frowned upon by us avid ARAM players :P Ahri is one that I'll never dread seeing on my team or having to play. She's fine. But a ziggs/lux/sona/etc in place of that Ahri would be much more effective.

Thank you very much for the help, i like Ahri a lot i have since she came out i do not know if its her play style or what but i think she is very fun to play personally. As for the 5 or 10 picks i personally will get bored so buying the "best" ones is a good goal but i also want the "good" ones because it will still give me variety i just do not want a champion who struggles greatly, for me this would be most melee champions since i am horrible with melee normally heck i could make the best melee champions (yi) terrible if i used them, i am more of a ranged poker but i still like some variety so thank you again for the tips.

lux is a beast on aram and if shes the cheapest def get her next. I personally prefer vel, think he is better but lux is a must. Also if you end up getting really bored on your aram account think of me=) I rr or trade lux now cuz I think shes boring.
