It is so weird my friend and I were discussing the topic of parents discovering something magical etc about their child and we couldn't think of any nice examples only parents disowning their child etc. And now two flew at us right off the bat Annie's dad and this other one from a book series.
I love how much he stands up for Annie in this video he's forced to love both his daughter and his new wife despite the rift between the two.
Unrelated but also I LOVE the fact riot have finally shown a character that doesn't understand the force of their powers. You have people like Lux who's power came when she roughly had an understanding of the world and what magic was but with Annie - she doesn't quite understand her magic in the video. To her it's just something that happens sometimes and we get to see that happen and I love it....

I'm glad i wasnt the only one that thought about this. He had just lost his biological daughter, yet he didn't even hesitate when he saw his adopted daughter caught in a burning room. He didn't even stop to think - only to locate her, before running into the flames to get her to safety.
EDIT: Okay, i didn't know her dad was her real dad.
