Blood of Noxus - Ahri Lore Hint?

I'm very impressed and excited about the connections made between previous lore and the new Darius backstory. I'm wondering if there are more.

At the end of the Blood of Noxus comic, you can see Invetia wearing a gaudy gold necklace under her cloak. It looks like the same gold necklace that Quill picks up in Ionian while surveying the aftermath of chemical warfare. Is this necklace just there to show that Invetia and Quill were close (and possibly related) to demonstrate how ruthless Noxians can be? Or is it something more...

It got me thinking about gold jewelry from Ionian. In Ahri's updated lore, she has two mysterious golden gemstones/sunstones from her parents. Apparently these were made by a sculptor called Ymelo, and many were lost during the war. Could this golden necklace found by Quill be another piece crafted by Ymelo? Could Ymelo be a new champion? A sculptor would definitely be unique and fit with Riot's push for novel champs.

Also, it made me reread Ahri's lore which features a man with butterfly wings for eyebrows (on fleek).
