Sylas and Kayle + Morgana?

With the recent additions to the Universe page, it looks like the teased chained champ is definitely going to be from Demacia. (RIP Blessed Isles)

I'm all on board with the idea that it's Sylas from "Demacian Heart" where we saw that he might be able to channel magic from other mages. As others have pointed out, the new teaser images on the main Demacia region page from Universe also seem to be hinting that the new champ will be able to cast spells from other champions.

Whether or not the new champ is Sylas, it certainly looks like the Demacia lore may be taking a dark turn. (Assuming the teased images aren't like the teasers for Jhin) So, the new champ will be released and we'll have to wait forever to return to Demacia to see what happens next, right??? (Yes, we all see you, Shurima.)

BUT WAIT...

As others have pointed out, when the Runeterra map was released, Kayle and Morgana were added to the roster of Demacian champs, which suggests that their reworks will place them there. AND their joint rework is coming right after the release of the new champ.

SOOOOOooooo...I think the new champ (Sylas) will attack Demacia, and I think the story and situation in Demacia will continue shortly after with the reworks of Kayle and Morgana. Does Kayle go to Mt. Targon to climb the peak and beg an aspect for help? Does Morgana desperately turn to a darkin weapon to defeat Sylas, giving her soul away to the darkin? World Runes conveniently hidden in Demacia, Ryze??!?! Does none of this happen at all?????

Riot has already confirmed that Morg is not becoming a Darkin. Let that go.

Kayle and Morganas' order vs freedom theme will definitely be applied to Demacias' mage debacle. Maybe with Morgana representing a cabal of free mages (Morganas current character is corrupt but represents freedom so it fits) and Kayle arguing to suppress mages for the greater good and to defend the people (Kayles' current character does terrible things to defend order so it fits). The Chain Champ needs to justify Demacias' hatred of mages because there is far too much bias in the stories that leads readers to believe what Demacia is doing is wrong and born of ignorance and it just makes them look evil. To make the conflict more nuanced there needs to be a truly extremist mage that the people can point at say "Yeah maybe Demacia got a point..." Someone who is so extreme even Morgana wouldn't ally with them even though their goals align.

Their champ designer already said he isn't a fan of the Targon/Darkin theories and wouldn't like to take the champs in that direction. I don't think he controls the narrative though just the kits
