After seeing this, I actually would not be surprised to see a Zyra skin within the coming months.

Because this was during the MYMU discussion.

Zyra was unable to get a skin during that time because she was among the bigger reworks.

You mean when they changed her Q and that basically was the only difference on the visual side of thing (updated base model and textures, but that has nothing to do with skins). And another thing that it was 6 months ago and what I know is skins are developed usually for half a year, so there could be Zyra's skin already...? But no, let's make another skin for Teemo, Olaf and Jinx.

All champs during the MYMU were ineligible for a new skin because they had work done to them. Regardless of how big it was or how big you think it was, they were still not able to get a skin because they had work done to them and their existing skins.

Pretty sure she'll see a skin soon enough. There's plenty of champions that haven't had them in a few years, and no I don't mean old people like Yorick who just had a MAJOR update. I mean others, some that were part of the MYMU for example like Cassio.

That's not an argument, because lot of champions got a skin by the time their class update was planned(before or after, namely Sashimi Akali, Project Katarina, Arcade Corki, Definitely not Vel'Koz...), smaller or larger scope.

Akali and Katarina weren't part of the Mage Update, they are part of the Assassin Update and their skins were done way before the updates happened. Same with Corki who was part of the Marksmen Update and had his skin after.

Vel'koz had his skin BEFORE the update, plus it required little work as it's a 750.

However when they have the updates under way they do not work on skins for a champion as they have to put as much focus into the changes and make sure they are all working before building models, animations, effects, ect for a new skin.

What about the fiora's gameplay update and the project skin?

Fiora got her gameplay(and visual) update before her project skin. Similar Poppy and Taric also received new skins after their updates.

The thing is that Luxs skin is an ultimate skin,so of course they go overboard with it.

In Zyras case however they need to do a lot of models even for 975 or 1350 skins.

The rest of ultimate skins have 3-4 models (considering Ez as more models lol), Lux has triple that + particles, compared to Zyra and other normal skins... Yeah and btw ultimate skin is released once a year, Zyra did not have skin for three years.

Ok, maybe I should be a bit more descriptive.

An ultimate skin (as we have already pointed out) takes a lot of models to make. Zyra already has a bunch of models that need to be touched if they make a skin for her.

So making a skin for her requires more effort than other champions. So the extra work is probably the same reason why we don't see more Zac skins. A bunch of extra work that they could push somewhere else.

Not saying it doesn't suck.

SGU has different models for each form(+an evolved version of each of them)+5 additional models for his spirits and Sona might not have that many models,but has her music to make up for that.

Not to mention that skin quality is always increasing anyway. Nowdays it is standard for a 975 skin to get a new recall,something that was only part of 1350 skins(and higher) a few years ago.

Also my point stands that Zyra simply needs more work for her skins than the average champion,not to mention that she was unable to get a skin around the time of the mage rework.

Last but not least,Zyra did receive a skin in 2014,so its not 3 years,but a bit more than 2. Sure Riot doesn't count these kind of skins anymore when making skins(though it does look like they did that in the past),but that doesn't mean the skin doesn't exist.

I mean, Spirit Guard Udyr has 14. Lux still doesn't beat his count. DJ Sona has only 3 sure but she has music that goes with each one, which is its own kind of beast to create.

Also Ultimate skins get released whenever; 2014 was devoid of 'em and we almost went the entirety of 2016 without one considering DJ Sona was released very early in to 2015.

OMG I was about to post this if you didn't do it. I strongly believe that Zyra's argument about her models and textures are invalid after this Lux's ultimate skin just came out. Lux ultimate skin doesn't even look good or fancy enough like DJ Sona. This ultimate skin could have been for Zyra's 4 seasons. So disappointed. I hope they make a legendary skin for Zyra because She's already have a 750, 975, and 1350 skin, and they all look so outdated compared to other champs skin.
