PROJECT REWARDS

I've completed a few missions. I have tokens. But.. what is the difference between a Project SKIN ORB for 48 tokens, and a Project SKIN SHARD for 64 tokens.

So, one drops a skin, and the other a skin shard? But the costs seem backwards.
