Zilean the person who worked at riot was against adding volibear. So when added they added the "easter egg" so that if they were on opposite teams a little icon would pop up (similar to cait/vi/jinx)

Its an old joke from when volibear was made that thered be no armored bears in the league and zilean hated them.
