Ryze's new related champions on the universe site are interesting

It used to be only Brand. now there's Wow, that's a real crazy quilt of characters! I wonder what the story is there. I hope there're future story releases with these characters involved!¨

Edit: I also found it curious that and don't show up in each others' related champion list anymore... And Skarner has a some super intersting related champions as well:

Tahm Kench don't have the yordles listed anymore, nor anyone else.

Galio being an "alive" World Rune would be hella awesome.

So, Jayce arcane crystal could be one of Skarner's kind?

I thought the crystal was destroyed? Jayce built the hammer to get the crystal back from Viktor in the first place

Jayce is now a baby killer.

Honestly idk. They'll probably make it so Viktor is using the crystal and make Jayce team up with Skarner to stop him.

Because Viktor is a bad guy apparently.

Those are his kind. That's what the weapon in Skarners story used as a power source.

They bond with it and it incorporates itself physically in to their bodies, but it's still something that can be physically removed, like an internal organ.

I can only assume Brands, Galios and Malzahars 'creation' have at least something to do with the World Runes. Nasus is pretty old and probably knows about them aswell. Sona's Ethwal (or however it's called) may be connected to a World Rune. As for Miss Fortune and Trundle, I have no idea
