The Volibear; White Walker? Runterra's Grod? You tell me

After reading "Silence for the Damned" I am in awe at what Volibear has become and I am here for it.

What I am trying to figure out and I am sure riot has planned for future releases but what the hell is going on here!

Before the retcon the Ursine were Bears and Voli was their Shaman. Then Voli was a Demigod and his followers were the Ursine, but still thinking they're Bears. NOW after this story the "Ursine" or "The Lost Ones" as Sejuani called them are a mix of entranced spirit walkers still in human form, some are spirit walkers transformed into part beast, and others are beastly abominations.

The Voliebear appears to have this hive mind style control of all these spirit walkers and almost took over Winter's Claw as well.

I am looking forward to where this will go and maybe in Ashe: Warmother we will see more of this!

What are your thoughts on Volibear and Udyr potential after this story?

EDIT: I also want to know what this means for the Demigods of the Freljord and "the Volibears" relation to Anivia and Ornn. Are Anivia and Ornn now "the Anivia" and "the Ornn"

Honestly my brain just keeps repeating the words "big," "scary," and "yes."

They took a Proud Warrior Race Guy and made him into a straight-up nigh-unfathomable monster.

I've been intrigued at Voli since his update with Ornn, now I'm dying for a VGU after this story. I don’t think there's ever been a champion with such a disparity between their current canon lore, and their in-game appearance and personality. And he's awesome.

I like to think that during their fight, Ornn bitchslapped his disrespectful brother out of the mortal realm, and now the Volibear is slowly trying to rebuild a proper vessel to host his spirti and return relevant once more.

I love what they did with Volibear. They made him pretty badass. But I miss thst noble and wise apsect of his old lore.

Necrit seems to think Volibear is void corrupted with the rotting flesh and what not. I think he's probably going to look that way come his rework! This is a very welcome edition to the game!
