I would've assumed a cat because of Bastet. Still wondering if there are other Ascended still kicking around though other than the four we have.

keep in mind the great hunt was a very long time ago,so it was most likely still based around amumus old lore.

And well Amumu most likely doesn't know what he is himself and since its kinda difficult to touch him,no one else probably does. The official site lists him as a bandle city champ,so it is entirely possible that amumu thinks he is a yordle,even if he isn't one.

Well the fact stays that he is currently listed under bandle city,maybe its because they never updated it,maybe he ends up there later on.

In the end we don't know what amumu is and he most likely doesn't know it himself.

Just picture the ascension of rammus. He floats in the air,everyone watches him and is amazed by his transformation and he is like "ok" before rolling off and doing his own stuff.

Well I'd say that if we get another ascended champion,then its most likely going to be a cat.

However I'd say that a cat would actually fit sivir quite good as well.

I dunno, they could go with a rhino or an elephant I suppose. Hell even a hippo. And I know, I know, Egyptian gods and stuff but hey, they can do what they want!

Its just that bastet is pretty much one of the most well known egypt gods,thats why we got champs based upon Anubis,Sobek and Ra respectively,because these 3 are also among the most popular egypt gods;).

Sure its technically possible for them to use pretty much any animal for an ascended champion,but why should they use one that doesn't add any recognizeable "egypt-god"-feeling to the champ? Its also not like all humanoid animals need to be ascended champs( MonkeyKing , Warwick , Rengar ),so if they want to make rhino or elephant champ,then they don't need to make them ascended beings.

So I'm not ruling out other animals,but I think that a cat is the most likely.

Yeah not all animal humanoid dudes and dudettes need to be ascended, it's just that certain animals fit with it simply because of that whole Egyptian god thematic. Would still like a rhino, elephant and tiger champion myself regardless of how they come about.

I actually just said to myself "hey let's look up those gods and see what we can find!" GOOD GOD there's a lot of them.

Also its not like skins really matter here,I mean just because we've got already executioner DrMundo skin didn't prevent us from getting an executioner as a champion Draven

Fair. Better phrased, I guess. I just feel cheapened that Xerath was incorporated into that lore and yet doesn't fit the theme of the other ascended characters. I feel, if the lore team wanted a champion like that, they would be some weird animal like a jackalope. Another missed opportunity. The retcon strikes again.

Actually, Xerath was the original ascended. The other ones became established as ascended during the Shurima event.

Consider this: Alla scended beings where noway akin to magic. Xerath as he would have been if the ritual wasn't corrupted would have been as the Guardian of the Sands skin.

An explanation of this would come from my previous statement. If you notice, each Ascended being form embodyed th nature of his being.

Nasus the wise became a sage jackal

Renekton the fierce warrior a strong crocodile

Azir the emeperor a noble falcon

Xerath was a mage and his purest form would be the closest to the magic which made the Ascension ritual possible meaning that his being would have become a powerful commistion of sand and sun power hold together by his cerimonial armor.

Honestly? A scavenger; Vulture, Hyena (though they're more hunters), Raven, Magpie, Coyote, ect. It fits with her treasure hunting gig, most of them can be found in the desert (Sivir's homeland,) though none of those animals are solitary as Sivir is.

With her connection to Azir and tendency to kleptomania, I'm leaning towards a Raven or a Magpie.
