Ekko & Jinx? Speculation...

From what Red's have said, the person he's fighting is a "Zaunite thug", so it's clear he's in Zaun....unless he's really in the underbelly of Piltover and has Zaunite gangers after him. Jinx is from Zaun.

Now...there is a long, blue haired girl in the mural. She bears some passing resemblance to Jinx . Jinx This painting is more cartoony and simply done compared to the (relatively) photo-realistic one's in the center. I dont know whether they were all painted by the same artist -if so it could represent an evolving talent.

Who are the characters in it? There's some writing there too, but I can't make it out BUT based on the many candles kept burning it looks like a way to honor the fallen. With that said, one could say "It's not Jinx, because we know she's alive."

Now remember the big retcon? Because game and story are separate now, characters like Graves TwistedFate and Nasus Renekton can kill each other now in the ongoing "plot" ....but the game will stay the same because it doesnt represent the "current" living cast of the game, as it did when the League existed as an organization and all characters were contemporaneous. The status of a lot of things is sort of up in the air.

Then again, it could be metaphorical. Jinx as we know her, was probably not how she always was. What if he knew her before she became insane?

I don't think Riot would kill any of the existing champions in the lore even though lore and gameplay aren't linked. Well... except if they somehow brought them back to life later. We'll just have to wait and see if it's Jinx or not.

How I think of the world: The "real" world (Valoran/Runeterra) has lore which is gradually being told to us. It may include a lot of radical events which do not affect the game itself. The game world (League of Legends) is created by the summoners based on the "real" world. They recreate important charactes as their own pawns with their individual rules (skill sets) to be played. So the champions you are playing are not really the original characters but just avatars based on them.

At least that would make some sense. I dunno if Riot has some kind of more interesting explanation if they are ever gonna tell us.

My theory is that it is (my baby)Jinx but, the younger version of her. This is my theory on him. He's one of the kids that were experimented on, with him being the only successful subject for chronoton(time) research. This caused him to go into the future to see what all had happened in all the lands and when he was able to become stronger and master his ability to travel in time (probably through zilian) he decided to come back and try and prevent some major disaster from happening. He still remembers his friends and maybe that room was where they all stayed, (vi, jinx, ekko, etc) and so it holds special meaning towards him, but he was caught by the brute being sent by someone to try and keep the bad future that he's seen/comes from intact..

Hopefully we'll get some more solid info this week as I'm really excited and already prepped my wallet to pick up the ekko bundle when he's released :D

I guess that Jinx had a mental brakedown at some sort of incident concerning her and Ekko's mutual friend/s, she caused a big ruckus and supposedly died while in fact she reached Piltover to destroy things.

i dunno about all this experimenting but riot said they wernt in the same gang but they are aware of each other i like to think that thats jinx before she was insane before vi lost her memory and i also think its why she went insaine now bare with me

vi and jinx were atleast friends people think their sisters but maybe its not blood sistership but they were really close vi eventually did her thing and lost her memory and started helping piltover jinx like ekko is extremely loyal to zuan but loosing her sister drove her crazy and she blamed piltover for loosing vi hence why she keeps messing with cait and vi its possible

jinx has seen some shiz and having vi not reconise her and loosing her made her snap thats why shes hell bent on destroying piltover and messing with cait and vi so hard she thinks cait stole her and destroying piltover will bring her back in a sadistic sorta way and someone else a 3rd person knew that vi was still around she was sane not lost since im sure a giant gauntlet weilding cop has got to make news in civilized areas like noxus bildgewater and zuan while jinx is gone she lost her mind she isnt coming back she took a step over the edge or even she went underground noone saw her so they assumed she went missing

point is even with the retconn and basicly screwing all the lore so far (can riot please reform the lore staff seriously unless there making less than slaves cuz i like more than a breif summery of the character and can we get like a relationship tree or somethin cuz im tired of literaly digging through years and years of forums promotions and wikis to find one champs lore) they still are keeping some of the bread crumbs they left

I do like the idea of Jinx's death being metaphorical. Maybe the traumatic event that wiped Vi's memory scattered Jinx's brains? If they're sisters, of course. I was really skeptical about Ekko's taunt being anything more than that - he really doesn't sound at all remorseful, he's just making fun of her. It could be the future.

And Ekko somehow time travels back to the current Runeterra we play in, though it's really hard to make any sort of assumption considering they retconned all the lore.

Idk I just tied them together because on his page it says that jinx and vi are allied to him and as one of his taunts says in game "I use to have a crush, until she started talking to the gun" automatically leads me to believe he lovesld jinx before she went insane.....
